Hey guys

I've got an r32 gts-t and I've got some 18x11.5" +26 work vs-xx wheels coming, and I need rear wide fenders to fit them.(preferably +50mm)

I've rang savanna motorsports the Origin dealer for aus, and they informed me that Origin do not make wide rear over fenders for the r32.

So I'm begging you guys to lead me in the right direction for some GOOD quality rear fenders. I want them to fit straight up, I don't want to have to stuff around with fuel filler in particular. Please, do you know any good brands?

*sigh* you saw a set of wheels on YAJ and went "OMG fullysick dishhh uleh I must have it!" didn't you?

What you probably didn't account for is that 11.5 +26 makes your wheels sit around 2 inches too far inside so it will hit your shocks unless you run some chronic spacers. This is in addition to sticking out of your guards by about 30mm, so lets say you space out the wheel by about 30mm to clear the shocks, you'll then need a 60mm overfender to clear the rim (run stretched tyres and you should be able to sit it at a decent height and not collect the fibreglass fender with your tyre and send it all to hell... or look like poser and run it at 4WD height).

rear fenders NEVER fit straight up. not even japanese ones. I imported a set of D-Max ones straight out of japan and even then we had to trim the fibreglass and sand out the imperfections etc.

Nice buy from Import Monster though, and 155,000Y isn't actually that bad a price for em. But I wouldn't wanna be the guy trying to shoehorn them under an R32 GTSt, especially the 10.5 +26 in the front, without resorting to something like a BN widebody kit.

How the hell did u find the auction I got my wheels from haha. Yes a very good buy, and I've seen same wheels on gtr32 but 10.5 front n rear, and I wanted rears to be slightly wider I was actually waiting for the wheels for a while. I've got gtr front end already just need rears. A mate has some viva garage ones and I held them up and they needs about an inch cut out front and rear of wheel arch, they are the complete wrong size

lol do a search for "VIVA garage fenders" in this section, and you'll find pics that I took of a set that were delivered to me.

11.5 +26 wow, ive got not even 1 cm clearance on my coilovers with 10.5 +/- 0, your guna one BIG spacer my friend

thats no spacers, bolted straight onto the hub :/ i bein offered 5g for these wheels i said noooo f*kin way hahaha they are huge, them rubbers are 295 streched on, cant beat that

yea definately would hav taken the cash and ran. IMO all the aftermarket fenders out there ruin the clean lines of the r32, they just make the car look silly even when done to a high standard. get some rims that actually fit and dont make it look like a clown car.

GTR oem guards FTW

Sorry to dig up this thread.. Didn't want to make a new one.. Did a search and found some useful info.

But, not exactly what I'm after.

I may of answered my own question.. With the stock 32 gtst wheel (16x6.5 unsure of offset)

I will have to widen/role my guards for a set of 32 GTR wheels? (16x8 +30)

Thanks guys.

Couple hundred too much IMO. But it depends on how much they are worth to you. I sold my Volk SF Challenge set (17x9+22) for less with near-new tyres!

Well I would live some rays te37s but waaay out of my price range haha..

Maybe one day.

Rough price on 32 GTR wheels with or without tyres? In your opinion :)

What will happen is that once the stock ECU sees more airflow than it expects it will add a heap of fuel and pull a heap of timing to be safe because it can't understand how it could get that much air without there being an issue. You will see clouds of black smoke and it won't pull hard through the midrange and top end. So, overall it will be a bit frustrating but should be OK. If you are still nervous set the base timing back 2o through the CAS, but it will be even more sluggish everywhere. As said above through...this is not my guarantee your engine won't be blown into a million pieces, leaving you looking for very hard to find parts A better idea is get a computer with logging ASAP, wire in a wide band O2 sensor and a use remote tuner. I've done multiple cars this way and while it is not as good as a specific tune on a dyno they can get it 90% right. I'd suggest if you can afford an R33 GTR these days you can afford an ECU and tune. And if you can't afford that you sure won't be able to afford the rebuild if it goes bad in the meantime,.
    • Yeah it would be nice if someone took the time to put that sort of information together, but there are a lot of variations in looms. I think you are making this way hard for yourself if you just want to get it running....sourcing an SR20 with the right wiring will be a billion times easier than matching the RB loom to an S15 chassis. If you do end up going this way, you just need to trace every wire in the loom with a multimeter, 95% of them will go to a location you can confirm at the ECU.....and then post it up for the next person who needs it
    • Just top it up with water, and keep a general idea of how much you added. It is normal for water to be pushed into and pulled out of the reservoir through the cap, and it should not be more than half full or it will be likely to overflow when hot. Any decent mechanic can do a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm if you have a leak. Keep in mind if it is only leaking a little and when hot it may well evaporate before you see it hit the ground
    • I'd ask the shop what they used and use that. Mixing coolants is sometimes OK, sometimes not, and you have know the details of each coolant to know whether it's a good idea or not.
    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
