just wondering if there is any point

putting a bigger throttle body on an r33 na

and if so how will it benefit

and what would be a recommended size

Wouldnt think so, as the aim of a bigger TB is for larger volumes of air into the runners. Best designed for forged induction.

You wouldnt find much 'extra' doing it on an NA.

Same the coin and buy a good set of extractors/headers. Tune the exhaust to the engine, that will give you better results. Also underrun pulley kits.

just curious why you recomend the underun pulley kits?, as ive heard bad things on here cos they will make your water pump/alternator run slower (if you not in higher revs).

ive been considering such a kit for my own car, just not the under run ones...?

There is no point in doing this without a piggy back ECU or some sort of power FC device. Your gains will be un-noticed as you really need to tune it too put a bit more fuel in with that bit more air for atleast somthing.......10kw at the most

A naturally asperated engine will more suit indvidual throttle bodys per cylinder, larger injectors, fuel pump and regulator all running off map sensors. Thats the only way to notice a good gain

Regarding TB upgrade.

You will lose low end power.

High end gain - but you will need exhaust, cams, ecu and injectors to make use of it. Waste of time IMHO - unless you want to go all the way.

The nissan engineers have already thought it all out...
