Breakfast is all booked at the German Arms .... they are emailing me a menu today (as it has changed but not been updated on their website). I will post the menu up as soon as I have it.

Any ETA on the Menu? Also where is the meet point? (or is this still being finalized?)

Well this is it boys and girls, our first official sanctioned SAUSA cruise. It will be held on the 23rd of May (which is a Sunday) and it will be an early start with the final destination including breakfast with all those that come. Details on where the meet point is won't be given out as yet, stay tuned closer to the day and this thread will be updated. Cruise notes will be handed out on the day of the cruise just in case anyone falls behind.

Please keep this between members, as this is posted in the members only section and therefore it's a "Members Only Cruise".

One last thing, if you are coming, please register your interest here as a table needs to be booked for breakfast we need approximate numbers.

Thanks

SAU SA Exec Team

its been decided but wont be released till about 48-72 hrs prior to the cruise

I did read and understand it would be closer to the day, but no updates as to when they would be released were made, hence why I was asking, but you have just informed me of a closer ETA, Thank you. I was/am trying to figure out where it would be so I can see what time I need to be up, how far to drive, etc, as some of us don't like getting up at 4am...especially how cold it is getting in the mornings.

Ok, and initial meet point is going to be north, central, or south of adelaide. I just to get a rough idea of how early i will need to get up.
Meet point will be North

i might add East to that as well :)

+1 for Lee (user name RB25DETS2). He just signed up and paid personally tonight, so he's a member now, and very keen for this cruise. Andrew has added him already, so he'll be in shortly :)

Yeah sorry guys, the chicky from the German Arms never got back to me with an updated menu, and I can't be arsed chasing her up again.

Short story is that all of the German fare on their website will be available, plus 'normal' Aussie breakfast items. I guess you will just have to decide when you get there and have a menu in front of you :)

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
