My drivers side seat is a little worse for wear and I'm looking to replace the fronts with something a little sportier.

I acquired some R34 seats thinking they would fit, seeing as the cars are similar but they don't. Maybe I needed 4 door seats or something.

Anyway, my question is this: What seats do fit?

Regardless whether i go for something OEM from another nissan, or go aftermarket, I'm going to need to know what they are.

Cheers

Aaron

Hi Aaron i put 32GTST seat`s in my car & best thing i did ,sit 90 mm lower & feel a part of car now , Bubba put 33GTST in his ,so ANY 32 33 SAT WILL DROP IN,NEED TO REMOVE SOME BIT`S LIKE SEAT FLIP & USE YOUR SEATBELT CLIPS,

GOOD LUCK Cheer`s Chuckie.

Cheers for your replies guys, strange how you can put a R34 seat into a R33 with minor mods but not into a Stagea. I think it's something to do with the shape of the tunnel.

I might take my R34 seats to the wreckers and see if they'll swap them for R32/33 seats.

Cheers guys

R34 RWD is the odd one out.

All the rest are interchangable with no mods

As previously mentioned, any skyline seat in a stagea sits a fair bit lower.

Darrin you need to remove Flip forward Tab & cable, change Seat belt retainers as there diferent to other`s & wire for Seatbelt LIGHT,& as i SAID in my frist POST ,YOU SIT SOME 90MM low much better as you feel more apat of car then UP IN ROOF SPACE :) ,

this is one of best mod`s as you now have a SEAT which HOLD`S you .

Cheer`s Chuckie.

I have also have a full S2 manual set (front and rear seats available for sale): I believe they're a little more "buckety" than the auto seats... pm if interested....

Whichever way you go, remember to keep the seatbelt sockets from your S1 seats: they are different to R33 and S2 (I didn't try any others, but I don't know if anything else works...).

I've got '32 GTR seats in mine, and as Darrin mentioned, you do sit HEAPS lower!

heaps lower indeed. I have 33 gtr seats in mine and I have to sit on a pillow or I can't see over the steering wheel well enough to drive. I'm about 5'6 which is average height so it's not like I'm a shrimp.

    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.

    • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
