Hi there guys, my name is Dan, I run a WA based car club for R32 Skyline Owners.

I am looking at expanding this club throughout Aus and getting the word out.

I am looking for an individual in Victoria who is interested in being the VIC event organiser for the club.

You would need to be mature, really love your 32 and dont intend on selling it any time soon.

Willing to donate your time and a little bit of coin for organising regular cruises. (I try and run one every 1-2 months)

Willing to organise driving events, dyno days and any show events that would be suitable for showing the type of cars that we have.

I dont expect this person to be on the ball for every car show available, I just expect for them to do their bit for the club and attend at least a major event eg.. powercruise

You also need to be conscious of the image you give the club.. ie.. dont organise a cruise and go and drop burnouts at every meet point. The club prides itself on just enjoying the drive, the cars and the people in the club.

pretty simple stuff

either pop me a PM or show your interest in here.

hey I've got this idea for this round thing that you put on the corners of the car... makes it sooo much smoother to move. I'm thinking of calling it "the wheel". What do you reckon? Shoot me a PM if you're keen to come onboard and market the idea in WA.

In case you're too dense to get my allusion, stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

SAU caters for skyline owners of all varieties. We have regional clubs that manage track days and events with CAMS affiliation etc.

If you want to set up an R32 only group in your local area, that's fine. Organise an R32 only cruise on SAU, that's fine too. But if you want to leverage SAU to make your own little 32SAU national club and kickstart a forum of your own... Get. The. Fuck. Out.

Sincerely,

Admin and avid R32 owner since 1999 (GTS, GTSt, GTS4, GTR and even GTE models)

Im not going too get all emo about it, I understand why you posted what you did but I did try to do the right thing first.

Which is why instead of banning you for spamming the forum I've merely locked your threads and told you to cut it out.

By all means get together with other R32 owners through local meets you organise on SAU. Just don't try to scalp members on here to your own forum.

Exactly what's wrong with SAU that you need to create a splinter forum?

What content on your forum do you have that caters specifically to R32 owners that SAU doesn't already provide?

Other than body panels, cosmetic parts, a 16bit ECU and hydraulic ATTESA system, what other unique features do R32s have over an R33 or R34 that they require a specialist forum?

How do you believe you can organise a club better and create a better user experience overall than a devoted committee of up to 10 people per state and a forum of 50,000 members?

what does the mechanics of the car have anything to do with it.

The forum is not about trying to out-do SAU.. It is for people who love the car's styling and history to put it in short.

I put the idea to a few 32 Owners and they thought it was a good idea, yes its a small club but size is not everything.

lol I don't have anything against other models of skylines, I have had 3x 32's, I love the old school but not dated styling, how they offer raw power and none of this traction control crap, easy to fix, light weight ect..

There are other people that see the car the same way, not just another drift shitter. So its more of a club for people who are passionate about their R32.

But hey not everyone is going to like the idea I suppose, if it goes well great. If not well shit happens, no harm in trying.

I respect what you're saying funkymonkey, I am not going to argue with you. /thread

hey theres this club that caters for skylines..

f**k i forgot what it was called but its pretty cool

they have a massive R32 fanboy base as well as other sections.

maybe you could join it since you like R32's so much

IBTL

I had PM'd a couple of Admin on the forum and there was no issue asking this question, why is it an issue with you?

You can always give him a go at his signature.

Nice idea actually, it centres right on R32s only and looking at the forum there's a bit I haven't seen here. Make the site more interesting by adding some contrast and colour (its a bit of an eye strain at the moment). If it helps, I'll be looking out for HOW-TO stuff and tutorials which can be difficult to find on this site but easier to find on yours. GL.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
