G'day, Shane, Chad, Martin, Matty, Brendan, Ryan, Steve, Vu, Krishy, lads, many thanks for all your kind words.

The article turned out really well, a few minor technical spec's and details lost in translation but all in all it turned out better than I could have hoped for. In all honesty, the thanks goes to Guy Bowden, Jason Round and the writer - who's name escapes me at the moment.

And Shane, mate I have not forgotten my EH trophy, not at all ! I've been trying to get some spare time to head down to the workshop (assuming it's still there and they haven't got sick of it gathering dust :)) for the last couple of months. I'm hoping I can get away from work early tomorrow and will head that way in an effort to pick it up.

If any of you are heading down to the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally, I'll be marshalling at the Myponga stage on Saturday morning - don't you just love 5am starts. If you are down that way be sure to say g'day.

Hey mate,

Thanks. I popped into the shop a month or so back and saw your beast there, the other beast that is. Hopefully it's finished sooner rather than later mate.

Not yet. I just went with a basic upgrade, slotted rotors, pads, lines etc. Down the track a bit I'll put aside some dollars and when I do, it will be a set-up like you have access to that I will go for!

How is 34 coming along?

Hey stranger, not seen you for long time! Saw you at meet for 6am cruise but thought you were coming

so could catch up later, oh well, next time. Got all your wheel nuts on tight now? ha ha......

Good to see some of the original members still on here, you are one of the rare few who joined before me!

Cheers, John

Well im waiting for the Supra to be finished bloody picked it up around christmas, took it back for 30 psi tune and we found out the head had broken springs and stuff. So when that one is finished the 34 can get the necessary cooling system and engine rebuild done.

But yeh when your ready man on the brakes, i gotta say i have no complaints about them whatsoever, and the Supra will be getting the same package, i also have knowledge that my set came out of the same factory that builds the Patented Greddy Grex package.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
