Hey guys,

Have an auto N/A R33, it's in pretty good condition. Regualrly serviced etc. It's done about 90000kms and im thinking of selling it. It has some cosmetic mods like 17" and stuff, don't it factors much in selling price tho. What do you think I can get for it? Its fully P-plate legal, if thats a factor. I live in melb(hence this is in the vic thread), and was wondering if theres such a thing as "local price".

+1 to be lucky to get 10k if it's series 2.

I sold my manual NA R33 series 2 with 85,000km 8 months ago for 12.7k.

EDIT: Actually, ignore the series 2 bits, I saw the info under your name, it's a 1993 GTS, so it's series 1. So you'd be aiming at 7-8k.... Even though the K's are low.

fark u got good money 12.7k for a n/a i rkn you'd be lucky to pull 7-8k regardless since you can get turbos for 8k upwards .. i know they are illegal but comeon as if youd pay the same money for half the car.

Yeah, I got lucky lol. Within 2 weeks of putting the car up, this guy came and checked the car, had a few mates with him, checked the engine bay, poked a few things here and there, spent a couple of mins looking at the pod and he just decided to buy it lol. He didn't even take it for a test drive, but I offered :)

Also, he didn't even try to bargain LOL

But in all fairness, it was in an awesome condition haha

I got mine about a year or 2 ago for 11500, manual. Was the best one on carsales at the time and has been good to me.

I would be trying to get around the same price when I sell it, some P plater should snatch it up.

Yeah, I reckon if it's genuinely nice and neat, you shouldn't have a problem selling it at all.

I've realised that a lot of kids these days spends a fair bit of money on their first car, whether it's their parents or their own money lol.

It just seems like 10-12k for a first car is nothing

mrs just got a auto sII turbo for 8k with logbooks.. so you will be very lucky to even get close champ..

You've gotta understand that NA's have held their prices pretty well, due to the turbo law.

Just because they can buy a turbo for the same price doesn't they will/can.

I could have easily bought a turbo for my first car, but my parents wouldn't let me lol, so I imported an NA 33 for about 13k on the road, despite the money spent, I was totally happy with the car :bunny:

Yeh thats true, well the way I see it a P plater will look at my car, its clean, goes well, manual, has 4.5k sound system (previous owner), cat back exhaust, some alright rims i guess 17", body kit and will be like zomg mummy i want that one :bunny:

Yup, expect to have many little kiddies calling you up to question about your car lol.

As I realised when I was selling my car, most of them are just talks.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
