Hey all... am planning to head to Tokyo or New York for two weeks later this year.

Time of travel will be any two weeks from start of August until end of October. If it's Tokyo I'm thinking early October to head to the MotoGP.

Other than that I'm pretty cruisey, would prefer not to go alone is all so looking for someone to travel with, visit land marks, eat some good food and booze. Hopefully find some good car shows/events!

If you're interested in travelling to either locations or have any suggestions from previous travel let me know!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :P

theres a groups of us in the us from late august and and all of September, if your over at that time send us a pm we have some pretty cool things planned.

Japan gp would be cool, we head down to phillip island most years and vip it up at an oil or supplier getup.... best event of the year hands down.

So you're talking about Japan then right? Sounds good, although personally I prefer the superbikes... riding around without a helmet doing rolling burnouts is teh win :D

I would love to go but this year it's Hawaii in August, first 2 and a bit weeks. Maybe next year or year after we will hit up mainland US and A. Would also love to go to Japan but I think I will have issues with the food. I don't like much asian food, don't even like rice. So I may be up the creek there. Teryaki steak is good though :)

Have a great trip Charlie

My other half has training in Chicago for a week for work, he's then flying to New York and I'm going to meet him there for a week. I get cheap flights so I may as well take advantage of it. I've been to New York before, I'll just do the normal touristy things again :)

Yeah MUZT3K, train tickets are! :)

Best deal I've been able to find is $1500 Melb>NYC>San Fran>Melb. Otherwise Melb>NYC>Melb is $1200. That's pretty affordable!

Apparantly it's really hot in NYC in August (<ghey) Makes me think of going later in the year... but I want to go noooooow!!!!!!! lol

Last time I went to Japan I got to head out to the D1GP at Fuji Speedway :P great experience.

Also went to the Nismo factory for a looky. Most of our trip was based around car related things!

Would love to go to New York! :) No moneys to spare though.

Business class return flights MEL-LA-NY for me are cheaper than that. My mum works for QANTAS :P

I've done Japan twice now, awesome place.

So will I!

Cool, is a great time of year

Looks like I should be there around that time as well! What are you guys planning to do and how long for??

As with llama_au, we were there 2 years ago so are heading back to see more. Last time did Rockefeller Centre, Hudson River cruise, Soho, Times Square/Broadway, Wall St, Guggenheim, Central Park, 5th Avenue, some nice bars. Just touristy things there really. To show how popular the city is, we spent the entire 5 days with 2 sets of friends from Melbourne without even knowing they were going in the first place. Just facebook updates. Ended up being a lot more fun as they had been there before and able to show us some good places. :)

I'll be in NY with my GF in August and so will Mav and his wife to be. You're welcome to hook up with us there if the dates match :)

When are the dates being sent through dude! Will be in touch today. :)

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
