Hey Guys and Girls,

Have you every wanted to see what it feels, sounds, and smells like to sit in a Drift Australia car at full noise on Eastern Creek's Drift Australia Circuit?

Have you every thought how much fun would it be in a fully prepared drift car, flat in 4th gear, and kick the clutch as you enter one of the fastest corners on the track?

Have you wondered what it would be like to only be able to see the ripple strip and grass on the inside of the corner as you do this?

Well if you have then read on!

The Sureflo Drift Team in conjunction with Driving Sports have come up with a taster ride to get you out on the track in their Drift Z, and I'll be steering to make sure you are truly scared :P

The Drift Z.

Fully Built and stripped drift car. (Originally 300zx)

5.7L built V8 with a single turbo setup.

Tremec 6 speed gear box

Widened track, custom panels and body kit.

Full V8 Supercar spec rollcage.

Noise- Custom Sureflo Exhaust with no mufflers, anywhere.

Wheels, big wide 10inch front and rear = SMOKEY!

Fun - Hell yes!

The Ride.

2 full laps of turns 4 through 12 in the Drift Z.

Signed poster and picture with me (The Picture is optional, or it can just be you and the car if you like) at the end of the night.

Cost: $250 or bring a group of 5 and we'll knock another $50 off EACH! ($200pp)

Or

Sponsor the car, or get your company to sponsor the car, with $1000 or more and we'll take you out for free*, and put your company's stickers on the car as well as send you photo's for promotional use for a whole year!

Larger Sponsorship packages are available and are tailored to your needs.

Kidz, we normally charge $800 for 2 laps of only the Drift Australia circuit (turns 10-12), so grab 4 mates, $200 each and come down for a blast!

This cost also includes entry to the whole event which includes 3 drift arena's (Peanut track dry and wet skid pan also), burn out comp, small car show and DJ. It is lots of fun and a good night out.

When.

We are next going out on Friday 25th of June, we'll be on track from 6pm to 10pm, so there is plenty of time to get lots runs in. These events run really smoothly and we have loved going to the 2 we have attended so far. Full Event Details HERE

PM me to book your spot and get excited!

Stay Sidewayz Kidz,

Dan.

hahaha +1 for $250 they are gonna give you a chance to ruin the clutch and put it into the wall, I think not.

ohhh that would of been good value for money!!!!

Just to avoid further confusion :)

Still a good deal even if you don't get to drive! :P

I've been lucky enough to sit in the passenger seat with this lunatic on numerous occasions and it was a barrel of laughs.

To look out the passenger window back up the straight while the car is sideways,,,screaming it's head off with smoke billowing out the rear is bloody fantastic.

I highly recommend getting your bum in the seat,,,you won't be dissappointed.

Cheers

Neil.

You crazy old man. I've had him sit in my passenger seat and also been in his, but back in the pretty much standard days.

This would definately be an experience.

Hey guys and girls,

I have managed to spend too much time at work and working on my own car, as a result I have had a chest infection turn into pleurisy and if I'm not careful I can develop pneumonia, so as a result we have scratched this event from our calendar and will be moving all rides to the event on the 23rd of July.

All details will be the same except for the date. Still friday night etc.

I'll update the post when we have more details.

Stay sidewayz kidz,

Dan.

.. but in all seriousness pleurisy and pneumonia are right up there with leprosy on my "things to avoid" list. Hope you get better soon, Dan! Then more sideways :) (oh yeah and spend less time at work.. not less under the car )

Thanks mate.

We are planning to make the next event on the 23rd of July, which again is a friday in about 3 weeks time. Same deal except I'm planning not to be sick this time :) (I have administered 3 large glasses of Uncle Chop Chop's recipy :D)

So let me know if you or anyone you know is keen.

Also, Kinks, we need some quality shots taken and I'm hoping you might be able to help us out. If you still have my number then give me a call, if not pm me yours and I'll call you.

Cheers,

Dan.

  • 3 weeks later...

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
