Hi guys,

I realise that 99.9% of you probably aren't interested in the R34 4 doors, so you can probably stop reading here. Anyway, if you're at all interested in them, here's a really good site that lists so many things I did not know about the sedan. I just thought I'd share this goldmine of info -

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/t...sedan/&lp=ja_en

There's some nice pics there too.

There's no coupe info there, so if it's not your thing, then don't bother looking

Cheers,

Michael

BTW as an aside, does anyone know if the 25GT-X Turbo models have different badging on the back from the plain 25GTt? I haven't found any close up shots of one - only the 25GTt (maybe the GT-X turbo has the same sticker, so that's why I can't find a shot of a GT-X sticker).

Thanks, Dave

It certainly does look like it's a custom job. In fact, the 25GTt badge is down at the bottom. So I guess if that car is a GT-X Turbo, then that pic confirms that they come with the standard 25GTt badge. That makes my job a little harder to spot a GT-X to buy.

Another excuse for me to post mine.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...tachmentid=9415

I've already got rid of that ugly yellow number plate but I want to get clear indicator lenses although I haven't paid for my zorst (ordered from Japan though) or the Billsteins not yet ordered.

I think, seeing some of those that I might get rid of the wing. Opinions?

GT-X does exist, its R34 GT-X which has RB25DE Neo engine with 4WD Atessa. 4Door.

My pick of cars have to be

Silver R34 GTT 4door

Impul R33 GTST Door RB25DET

Nismo R33 GTR 4d00r RB26DETT

The GT-X comes in NA 2WD, NA 4WD and 2WD turbo variants for the series 1 R34. They dropped the turbo variant of the GT-X for series 2 and changed the 25GTt a little.

here's a late model GTT interior:

and what I believe to be a late model front bumper:

R34GTR_11.jpg

Some other changes:

The wheels on late model cars are slightly darker in color.

The interior has a lot of color-coordinated bits, the gear level and steering wheel, the centre console etc.

Engine wise, Nissan tweaked the Neo engine so late model cars have improved torque output.

There was another mechanical change too, but I can't recall what is was!

Yep, the 4 door silver one above is a 4 door R34 GTT, with after market panels added. It's also got the factory optional window tinting of the rear windows, and the 'wind guard' around the front windows..

ie it's the same car as I drive :-)

I'm not sure what the difference was between the GT-X Turbo, and the GTT, though most of the web sites I've seen ie

http://history.jbskyline.net/index5.php#10thgen

think that the X is the model down.

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
