I went to Unley Nissan in adelaide and they were f**king useless. Had to tell the guy 3 times what kind of car my V36 was, he then eventually said "We won't even look at an import, but we'll do a 40k service for $700" i asked what that included and he simply replied "Filters mate"

I enquired about the V36 transmission firmware update and neither he, or his boss knew what "Firmware" meant.

Has anyone been able to get the transmission upgrade to stop the auto hesitating and down shifting hard?

So getting a new key done is simply having it ordered in, and having the ID and immob code copied?

I don't know who Andrew is :P But am very eager to find somewhere in Adelaide to have a key done (hopefully less than $400 lol) and hopefully the firmware update.

Andrew = #Nightcrawler

He's in the SAU SA club and drives a V35. He should know someone.

Hey guys, new to this forum, just purchased a 2006 nissan skyline pv36 350gt type sp and i only got one key from the seller, now i've been to nissan glen waverley (VIC) and also today i went to ferntree gully nissan (Vic) and both places states that they cannot do the coding on a spare key that i have. Ferntree gully advised me that the immobiliser code keeps changing when they enter and exit the program and thus they dont have the system to get the spare key coded and told me to go to infiniti or to an car import dealer if they can do it. Any suggestions as to what i should do now??

In short you are out of luck.

Is that basically the program they use? because as stated earlier in the post 3 years back lol, they were able to get the codes for the V36 by ChrisB, im not too sure, but i'll try contacting infiniti in melbourne if they noe anything at all about the car...

Yep you need consult 3 and a willing dealer.

no one else can help really as they cannot get the immobiliser code.

Dam maybe i should have thought about this b4 i bought the car lol, never knew it was so hard to program a key, i did try to contact nissan japan but of course no luck there, glen waverley nissan did give me a print out of consult III program sheet of the encrypted PIN but i guess thats the one that keeps changing...

Unsure. I have never needed to program a smart key. Normal keys were not a problem IF I had the immobiliser code . Nissan stopped handing those out a few years back.

Another recommendation for FTG Nissan. I believe I was the first spare to be made through them (2011 sometime), and they were great. It's cost me a bit more (exploratory work, etc) but it was under insurance thanks to Jetstar losing my bags!

Don't forget to get your mechanical key cut as well! You can't just go to any Bunnings / basic style key cut place, you need a locksmith who can cut both sides of the key. Should cost around $20. I had mine done in Elizabeth St, Melbourne, near the corner of Queensbury somewhere. I'm sure there are loads of places though.

If you fail to do this and lose your other remote then you will not be able to access your car at all in the event of an electrical failure / flat battery!

I've posted this before, but will throw this info back out there.

I went to Main North Nissan in SA, and they couldn't code my new key. They kept using the 350Z program.

Turns out the V36 needs the Nissan Micra key code program to work. I got lucky as a staff member was in the middle of importing a V36 and followed it up out of his own interest and got mine sorted.

$300, fob, code, cut.

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
