naww I would have had some drinks with you Owen! pretty sure I mentioned it a million times in teh chat thread that I was going!!

I forgot to ask, how'd you pull up this morning? How was your blues and roots festival, and sorry for telling you midnight it closed when it shut at 2AM... It used to shut at Midnight!

Yeah I wasn't too great :D

Blue & roots festival was a bit of a dud... didnt seem to be much happening?? There was nothing outside, must have been all going on inside somewhere. Didn't bother trying to find out.

We relaxed in the beer garden for a while ($5 breaky with eggs & bacon and everything, bargain!) and then went and laid on the beach... weren't up to doing much more haha

Ha ha ha, when you rang me at like 1:30 I was like "She's not going to be well in the morning!"

My mate ended up the same way as you guys did by the sounds of it... We packed it in around 3:30AM... He had to get up at 7AM to leave mine at 8AM to be at work at 10AM... I get a message at 9:58 stating "I feel like I'm going to spew" LOL

I has those lol

and these days id much prefer a 2 year old falcon over a 15+ year old skyline that is falling apart

in 15 years see where your falcon is haha, aussie cars are so unreliable its not funny

Hey i live in wollongong and cant wrap my head around why ive never seen an r34 here besides tafe, and that is non turbo. i see r33s every day with smoke pouring out the back of them and what not

my question is, is it bad taste or lack of money or is it the r34 its self?? im interested in a r34 gt-t and was wondering if they arent the best choice in any way??

Dont know where you have been hiding but there is at least 4 r34 gt-t', 1 R34 GTR and 3 r35 GTR's hanging around here :S

My 1988 car was still ripping skids even with 450 000KM on the clock. No noises, nothing, used to sit on the brake pretty good too in comps.

Only issue it actually had was the 22 year old muffler had died.

They're as unreliable as Jap cars funnily enough.

lolwhut...youre kidding right....right

because aussie cars run bearings and smash ring-lands all the time dont they.

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
