Duncan in his r35 is in the 1.01's and so is Marek.

Stuart in his R33 has done a 1.03 AFAIK

Unsure if Mark Berry has taken the 34 down there yet, but the old 32 did 1.02 or 1.03 a while back.

Yeah Berry did a 62 in the 32 eons ago... and he hasn't had the 34 there. Even the 32 would be quite a lot faster not with the S6 and other improvements

J Appo and I both did low 60's in his weapon 33 GTS-t there in, ohh, 2002, but buggered if I still have the day's timesheets for that one. lol

Such a shame really that our ROYal highness hasn't been allowed to keep it up to date ;)

If those electric pink dildos with ass finding radar and SCADA control R35s can do 61 sec laps then there is no problem matching those times at Wakefield in the GTSt. Dont need shortcuts, just need a cute girl in short shorts and boob tube running up the length of the pit wall with my timign beacon shortening the track for me. Everyone will be so distracted by her athletic display along the pit wall that nobody will care she will be shortening the track by 300mtrs ;)

Mate, in my car I have never been near a 1:10 let alone a 1:01. :P Thats is seriously moving. Even with the circuit changes that seem to have dropped times a little, anything under a 1:04 is moving in my eyes! Wakefield is a good little test track, but does favour gadgetry more then some other flowing tracks.

The R35 (road cars, driven to and from thew track) are doing 1:00's and 1:01's now

But that is on slicks (swapped out at the track).

Anyone doing sub 60's on anything less than R's - would love to see / know how.

Have you any more info on this 33 GTS-t???? very interested to see it.

Pretty much the days prior to me having a digital camera, OR being computer savvy! lol

Basically, very stripped 33 GTS-t. Built RB26, twin Apexi low mounts, GTR gaurds. 18x10's, Slicks, big AP's, etc. Made about 400RWKW then had (yes I know I know) another 100 in giggle gas.

I'd like to know where that car is now!

I do have a vid of a 1:00.8 run - but you'll just tell me it all looks too easy :D

I would ... but truth is if it looks easy then the thing is being driven well. Its only when you are slapping the thing all over the road and it looks hard and but is actually probably slower .. but looks cool and impresses the kids :(

Here you go Roy

FYI i turned off the GPS assisted steering for that run.

Very nice, thanks.

I thought the GPS was for the fish finder? That is mega. When driving an R35 that quick, i appreciate to do that time the thing is quick everywhere. But does th edriving style differ much...it looks like you can carry a good wack of speed to the apex and with the grunt and response the thing has get on it after the thing is sorted in the corner and it lunges out of corners. It appears as though your entry speed is high....???? So, so scary quick for a road car

    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
