You may well have bought the Daily Telegraph on Friday 8th October with the CARS Guide 'Cover Story' about a man, his R32 N1 GT-R and the R32 GT-R 21st Anniversary Celebration. Some of you have already decided to scan and frame pages 99 & 100.

So.... Would anyone here be interested in a Professional Memento/Souvenir from SAU?

1) Matthew Everingham is willing to produce a disc of photographs titled, "R32 GT-R 21st Anniversary Celebration - by Matthew Everingham"

He can charge you for such a disc to be sent out to you. Costing details call be posted up soon (- and a small $3 donation of that would be contributed to SAU which is already not for profit).

2) Kory Leung's professional work could also be produced in the same fashion perhaps; "R32 GT-R 21st Anniversary Celebration - by Kory Leung"?

3) Tuna Photography work by Tim could also be produced in the same fashion perhaps?

It goes without saying, that all these photographs and discs shall be copyright!

Yes, much feedback from those who couldn't come as well as those who did, prompted me to think of this + the talents of some great photographers here.

Stay tuned for posts from the shooters. :)

I've been asked by the event organisers to supply a disc full of my high res shots from the day.

The disc will have all the Full Resolution shots from the day, which can be found in low res in the event gallery on my site LINK

Each disc will be printed with image above so it's a nice keep sake from the event.

Price is $30 per disc. This includes delivery to your door, and also includes a $5 donation to the club.

PM me or post up here.

thanks guys and girls :)

OK, it'll be $28 for each Hi-res disc - because SAU only needs $3 of your hard-earned money.

Can you PM me with your address and bank details please Matt, as 2 people incl 1 non-attendee wants your work.

Then $56 is on its way. :P

^^^ Every time some person buys one of your Professional-Discs, it becomes a compliment to your hard work!

You and Kory spent ages getting the camera settings right at the Recon virtual-photoshoot.

Your time and skills should be rewarded. So, from us to you; Thank You!

And every purchaser will own a spectacular souvenir for life :P

PM MaTBoy and FST513 Nick.

It's all being stitched together as we speak. :D

Oh yes, and soon, Pezhead will be posting up here to present to you all, an...

:mrt::) SAU Commemorative Vid :ermm::ermm:

I believe Eric will be putting a video montage together although he mentioned the rain and heavy fog along Bells Line ruined a lot of video from his billion cameras he had mounted on his car.

I'm sure he'll still have a tonne of footage.

PM him - Pezhead.

hey guys. I'm sorting through my footage now. I've posted a few teasers in the wrap up thread.

As Kory said, I'm a bit sad to say that the footage of the actual cruise was a bit tainted by all the road spray cluttering the camera lenses. Although the sound from the goPro on the back of my GTR sounds Noice!

Did anyone scan in the carsguide article??

http://www.carsguide.com.au/site/news-and-..._my_nissan_gt-r

Do you realise now Bobby, that after this article, you've got Nissan fans all around Oz scurrying to their grey import dealerships to check out if the staff don't realise what they've got?????

Many thanks again Esther for coming all the way up to NSW...

And many thanks for your praise in the VIC thread!

:D

    • I hope it's actually possible. This is a write off in insurance world.
    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
