Good to see your ok.. Bad to see what happened to your car due to someone elses incompetence.. Hope everything else works out good for you!! Since that will surely be a write off are you gonna still be looking for an M35 as replacement?? Or something else??

Still deciding, but I scoured sum sites last night and there is some nice m35s around atm. Plus I have a spare ecu, tv decoder, rear sunroof rubber etc. Driving anything else especially Australian made now would surely feel second rate.

Will take some more pics of the car this afternoon, can't bare to look at the poor girl atm, especially from front or side on. She still has a nice ass tho! That isn't bent and twisted.

Glad to hear youre okay mate. Totally sucks balls about your car though ;) Loved that colour, I was contemplating flying over to checkout the car before you bought it way back when :)

did the other guy stop ?

Yeah, it was an honest mistake and he was quiet devastated. All details were exchanged and when the police turned up statements were taken.

Will put some more pics up tonight or tomorrow. The damage is worse than I initially thought. I even found that there are two long pieces of metal fence wedged underneath.

    • I've noticed my rear springs sag a bit compared to the fronts. I have stock springs and KYB struts. The front wheels are pretty consistent in their ride height, but compared to the front wheels, one of the rears sits 20mm lower, and the other 40mm lower. This negatively affects the ground clearance, and also angles the headlights up. What are some some economical options for new springs? Or information like good spring rates, lengths  in order to find a suitable replacement etc Far from lowering the car, I'd prefer to raise it a bit to keep it ground clearance friendly.
    • I searched for ages as well, I'm importing an engine to get the head off it.
    • Save the youtube time, I can explain in a couple of sentences:   Internal Combustion Engines run on smoke which is factory installed. If at any time the smoke escapes (generally via the exhaust), the engine will stop running.
    • That specific R33 GTST issue I ran across was putting a PowerFC into a series 2; it required a fuse added into an existing but unused circuit to fire up the PFC. That won't be the issue here as I assume the ECU powered up (OP surely would have mentioned if they couldn't connect). As Matt said, Haltech do have specific information about wiring in the Platinum Pro where there are minor differences across the 2 row plug models (R32/R33 from memory). Quick Start guide at this link: https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-055101-platinum-pro-plug-in-ecu/# At a quick glance, it is more likely to be a local wiring issue than ECU wiring (eg that connector near the left headlight might have differences) Start with the age old question....are you getting fuel and spark, at the right time
    • Stay away from Enkeis for track use, they crack, just ask the Evo kids. I'd take Murray's advice and put the widest forged wheels in the right offset under them I could find
