ooo..new look..so maybe some good will come out of this.

yeah, thats the thing motivating me to get mine fixed. If i can get the new sideskirts fitted it will make the car a fair bit different to look at, so while i already know what it looks like "non-multicoloured", have no idea how it will exactly look with the whole 400R kit. Will look a lot more consistent too.

Exactly, It will breathe much needed 'freshness' into the look of it...

I gave up getting a new TS front bar, only place that had one was Top Secret, funny that... $1200 just for the bar, then add shipping... no thanks, im only going to crack it anyway!

Im sitting here thinking about the possabilities of installing a boost guage my very self..

You see me and anythign technical dont mix, i seem to break everything i touch..

but thinking about it, i think it would be a piece of piss to install a boost guage..

simply locate a boost line, snip it in half. plact a T piece in there..

then you have instant boost reading?

then you just have to wire the rest up to something to get the lights working!

maybe i should take a shot at it!

Pity.. but guess u gotta go in with the attitude "its not a show car, i drive it nearly every day", you'll always get a few small stone chips and the like. i used to worry so much at every little scrape.. now i couldn't give a crappa..

p.s. nexus.. tried getting out the back carpark when i was leaving - no friggin chance! ended up reversing all the way back when i saw the angle.. front way i managed to get out though without a scrape so all good :D

Blame it on the Lawyers next door they think it is angle parking, or at least park like it is.

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
