sorry sorry...

...im like.... soooooo bored.

my manager got fired last thursday. my supervisor won 7 grand yesterday on the green fight.. and has taken the day off to celebrate..

the other lady i work with is on leave

the other bloke i work with is on a first aid course - which is finished so the boys are all hanging out side drinking beers

what else..

oh yea the ONLY other woman i work with - she was taking the morning off to go do some rehearsal for something..

calls up at like 1030 n says she's not gonna come in cos she's gonna get a few errands done and do xmas shopping then she's gonna pull the kids out of school at lunchtime n take em swimming.

EDIT: another thing - this woman works part time three days a week - - how the FUUCK does she manage to NOT get this shit done in the 4 days of the week that she DOESN'T work?

and the guy that verifies my work and incurrs costs for me in head office works part time and also has the day off..

that's EVERYONE i work with - and i can't get any more work done without one of em here.

Eps.. seriously bro just f**king lulz at the shit you say.. glad to have you in this thread..

Emotional, sensual things aside... g2 pink caliper paint.. do you mean to use on my wheels? They are brush on paints dude.. can't see that working - ie: brush painting 4 rims with brake paint..

Or..

Are you implying I paint my wheels pink as well as my calipers??? =/

Well.. You wanna know what I've been up to>> Tough you are already reading so deal with it.. I saw a cool moth, busted out the new D5000 with a zoom lense and stood on a milk crate for height.. whilst doing it a 15 yr old and an 18 year old chick ran up and used a wax strip on the back of my calf.. so I'm missing a patch of hair there then they said "might as well do the rest" so I got in my car and drove home from kings park to mirrabooka

/endstorykthxbye

Why not get them anodized pink. Then they'll look silky smoooooooth :)

Pics or it never happened..

No but seriously.. any pics or links to pics? Also any idea of places that anodize rims in perth and do a good job? I'm seriously considering just having a crack with spray cans.. just need to find right paint and color.. *sighs*

as for who to do it, I have no idea. You'd have to ring around but as mentioned before try alliance rim repairs in malaga, they may point you in the right direction.

check out this thread for some examples of all types:

Alright asked couple of my mates for you stevo, cbf sending you a sms so here it goes.

Rim painters:

*Tech9tyres, Subiaco, 9382 2943

It's about $70-$40 per rim depending how many coats are on it.

*Diamond Powder Coaters, Welshpool, 9258 4355

Last time I asked it was $300 for all for and was told any colour of the motherf*ken rainbow.

*Landsdale Powdercoaters, Wangara, 9302 1460‎

Not sure about colour selection but mate got his P1's done in black and they f*ken look mint.

don't be weak, have a smoke and get some pink wheels.

you're from victoria. and like soup.

BEAT IT.

and yes i WAS suggesting use brake caliper paint on your rims - you CAN brush it becuase the paint is specially designed not to drip or leave brush streaks...

the paint also has special high resistant gloss which prevent brake carbon from sticking.

the paint is rated to withstand 980 degrees farenheit

the paint is specially designed to withstand heating up quick, and cooling down fast.

it is 100% the paint you want - but.. you CAN ALSO put it in a spray gun.. and spray it on - this is recommended for the metallic finish paints.. but it's not needed for flat based paints, as it's designed not to leave brush streaks

but painting something like rims - i'd personally do a base coat with a brush.. (that way gets into EVERY nook curve and cranny of the work emos to attain MAXIMUM coverage) - trust me.. there's SO MANY angles and bends and corners on a rim - purely spraying it would be a pain in the ass

anyway - do a base coat or two with a brush.. THEN do it with a spray gun..

if you wanna go in the purchase with me - i'll be GLAD to help - i LOVE painting and i LOVE doing it RIGHT.

trust me - the paint colour is the product you are looking for..

and the paint PRODUCT is what you NEED because if it dries "too hard" (ie regular powder coat) it can crack or chip - as clutch said..

trust me - spend the money on the G2 paint kit - and do it right the first time..

if you're not keen on brushing... get one of these!

paint goes in the bottom.. and it sucks it up and sprays it on.

Cheers Johnny.. You will probably be the first to see this project once its complete - feel specials?

Rowan I can't see your pic.. this makes me sad.. admittedly I'm tempted to go with your G2 idea.. I've got a meeting with a dude at a paint shop tomorrow to discuss ideas/colors in depth.. depending on how that goes will probably be the deciding factor coz its killing me looking at my new tyres and new rims NOT on the car..

Awesome.. On a bit of a side note.. after I sort out the painting etc I'll need to get the rims fitted to my car.. do you think mr scorpio will be happy to assist in fitting 225/40's and 235/40's to 18x9 rims??

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm also looking to powdercoat/paint my rims because the existing white paint is looking a bit ragged and I'm thinking of switching to a GMG or charcoal colour instead.

The Landsdale powdercoaters quoted me $30 per rim or $120 a set, but there's also the cost of blasting the existing paint off which could be costly....might try to do it myself ghetto style haha...what's the best way to get paint off without ruining the rim?

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
