********** PLEASE NOTE***********

An overview of results is on page 8

Well as alluded to in whatsisname's epic engine build thread - I think its about time for an SAU dyno day

This will be a great opportunity to compare cars with different mods to each other on the same dyno, hopefully we can attract enough people to have a broad spread from no mods to Joel and Bl4cK32's crazy RB30 beasts:)

To enable grepin to be included we need to have it at the latest on Sat 6 Mar.

I have spoken to Shaun at Boostworks, and he said he would be happy to host it, and cost would probably be around 20-25 for a couple of pulls, beginning in mid/late morning.

Perhaps we can even convince T-man to do the sausage thing again, and have a bbq at the same time;)

So lets here your comments, and who would like to come and who can come:

DATE: Sat 6th Mar

WHERE: Boostworx, Boothby St, Panorama

WHEN: mid morning (not too early:))

COST: $20-25

Well considering we just did a few more dyno runs this arvo, just to make sure all is ok on pump/octane for road use, you can count me in.

Shaun did a 3 power runs:

17psi - over 270rwkw

20psi - 291rwkw/7850N

24psi - Holy shite! It's wheel spinning hard ???rwkw/8300+N

Shaun's workshop (Boost Worx) is located in Boothby St, Panorama. It's a reasonably quiet street & has room for plenty of street parking. Should be a great day ;)

Whatsisname, you need some people sitting in the boot - only way to keep the wheels in place:) Sounds like some nice figures.

I on the other hand cant boost past 1.3bar now:( (I think it may be the new 3" pipeage) but new wastegate spring goes in on monday:) so hopefully it should be sorted.

hippy, come along, bring your mates - but you gotta put your car up. Doesnt matter if the gemi blows your doors off with its 8rwkw, its all just for comparison, not a competition.

Well maybe we can make it a comp with the grand prize being 2 sausages! every category winner can get 1 sausage - that'll bring the punters in:)

Bl4cK32, doesnt matter what trim your car is in, it would still be interesting to see what she does in mild trim - the more variety of mods and power levels the better - your coming:p

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
    • That's my life. Past-Duncan has a lot to answer for
    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
    • I had to double check the thread title r34 gtt offset advice lol. Thought maybe i posted on the wrong thread. 😂
