Thanks Steve, Matt and the guys at BoostWorx. A well run event.

Pity I forgot to raise my EBC safety overide to above 19psi, would have made more than the normal 260+ at 17psi, but didn't realsie the problem until after the runs!

Put a bottle of octane boost in specifally for the higher boost runs as well, dickhead!

At least I know the boost safety overide works.

Quite a few of us having boost problems today.

Thanks Lachlan, but I think Boost Worx did most of the organising, all I did is show up:)

final results:

R33

Bleck: FMIC, Power FC, Exhst, forward facing TB, Manifold, EBC 208kw

nightcrawler FMIC, exhst, unichip 188

no nick-white pod, exhst, 1bar boost 163

SpecS15 pod, FMIC, exhst, AVCR (1bar)185

There are a few mods not included. I only included mods that were listed if they were directly related to increasing power, so things like fuel pumps clutches, etc may not have made it to the list.

If I have got anyones mods wrong, please let me know. Anyone that wants to put their dyno sheet up, please do, the more the merrier.

Thanks to all that came, good to meet all those I havent met before, and nice to catch up with a few people I havent seen for a whild - it was a good day and nice to see so many nice cars in the one place.

The lady taking the photos was doing an article for HPI mag so we will all be famous:p I got her guarantee that no number plates would appear anywhere, and if any were on the photos, she will photoshop them out before they get sent in.

Lastly, here is a comparison of the dynos between Whatsisname, Grepin, Freebaggin, and me. I have two runs up, as I was wheel spinning in the first, so torque looked pretty shabby in the peak power run, second run shortly after showed better torque, but lower power (heat).

YEAH cool day :) ... yeah 160rwkw :) .. for an auto hahaha :D ... funny .. car definitely doesn't feel 160rwkw .. more like 80rwkw :D ... thats the first time i've ever dynoed my car :D ... pity i'm going to sell now ... would of liked to at least get the safc tuned ... but still 160 i think is quite good for basic mods on an auto :D ... thanks to steve and everyone else for organising :D

LOL ... i know theres still alot there to be had ... cause when (dodgy)dean first put on the bleeder we set it waaay to high ... but shit there was heaps of difference when it was at 14 psi!!! .... pulled sooo much harder and then hit the boost cut LOL ....

Thanks to all who organized and gave up there time to run the day.

It was good to see that the exhaust and fmic I had installed since an earlier dyno run added about 38rwkw to my total......nice to see the money adding up to something! :)

Time to get everything tuned up and a boost controller installed to add a bit more.

yeh i had a goodish day, man im still tired :) and still pissed off about my car. man what a gay dyno graph.

timmayy, my car has heaps of fricken problems, i dont know what it is, but as soon as the power goes over 5500rpm, the power goes like a zig zag, ie +20, - 30, and so forth to readline. it is very wierd. shaun thinks its the ebc. needless to say, im goin back to the place that tuned it and demanding my money back. The thing does not work on my car, and for the money i spent to tune it, it should b fricken perfect!!! BTW i waited for u for ages man, but i was so tired so i left.

Did anyone like my second gearies???

Sounds like you guys had a good day. I couldnt make it 'cause I had to work.

I did make it out to the drags tho.

Ran a 12.63 @ 113 in the ute!

Only saw 2 skylines out there (Matts Trust6 - keep trying mate, you'll get traction one day, &

another nice looking silver one running 14s)

The air was nice and cool.

Next one is on Sat 3rd april - I think.

Munro, Ran a 12.63 @ 113 in the ute!
What sort of power are u making?

Enrico,

There are some very very picky people out there. Burnouts can be annoying but. :D

We have a big Rotty (68cm's back height) that never never barks, only when he gets excited when we get home (there is always some one home) or when we are playing with him Our next door neighbours complained. Luckly all of the other neighbours said they don't hear him unless we are playing with him & his ball.

We've had Bark Busters out & spoke to the Council, they said nothing is wrong with him and said to us 'can't expect kids not to scream etc when playing can u?'.

So yer.. Those next door neighbours will be getting a visit from the police next time they play their drums 10:00pm at night. :D WAR! heheh :D They have Church band practise.. Lol

Pic1 - Liams wrestling toy

Pic2 - Liam wanting his wrestling toy

Pic3 - Being a spastic with the cat & rolling on his wrestling toy (he's scared of the cat, it chases him around the lounge swiping at his arse)

haha as if he doesnt just eat the cat... :D

Joel u missed out on a great day. Also it wasnt really a burnout as such, just lots of rev limiting. Ohwell.

After the dyno day i have to think about how im gonna get relaible boost, so im ditchin the ebc already :D and goin to demand my money back. Do u think shaun from boost worx will be a witness to say it doesnt work?

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
