Road Hogs grrrrrrrrr...

Russell White and John Cadogan are about to get the NSW Police Minister to act!!!

...whereas toothless tiger - nrma - does not!

Messrs White and Cadogan 'driving experts', have described Road Hogs as...

selfish, unsafe, stupid, inconsiderate, infuriating, irresponsible, catalysts for road rage...

"Road Hogs disrupt traffic flow"...

"All cars including 'L' and 'P' platers should be allowed to drive at the same speed as the flow of traffic up to the speed limit"

say White and Cadogan.

Existing laws enable NSW Police to book slow drivers 2pts and 3pts for 'traffic flow nuisance' and 'right lane hogger' respectively.

Messrs White and Cadogan say that road hogs create "mobile road blocks"

"Minister for Roads and Police Minister and Police Commisioner, are you listening???"

How come I'm not telling you guys here anything new?

So they're actually doing something about it now?

The only problem is that the police need to be there... I'm sure if I were to take video of a driver doing 40 in a 60 zone and blocking traffic, I'd get hit with a fine for touching my phone while driving. :P

Still... We're starting to get towards common sense (slowly).

People who do this drive me nuts, and when you over take them they often speed up,ggggggrrrrrr. :P

Finally!!! I hate people who just cruise along in the right lane. It may be legal to undertake, but it's so much more dangerous when mr im-not-paying-attention-to-what-lane-im-in doesn't check his blind spot before changing lanes!

The only thing more important than making sure you're not being a nuisance for everyone else on the road is safety, it's so rude and inconsiderate. I remember following some douche for many kms while he did 70 in an 80 zone, when the limit changed from 80 to 60, he kept going at 70 for several more kms through suburbia.

Argh and when slow people speed up when an overtaking lane appears. Why do they do this? Is it just to get in everyone's way? Everyone's just trying to get home/to work/to the pub or wherever and some pricks think it's their job to break the road-rules just to be a pain.

[/rant]

F**K Yeh. This sh!ts me so much.

Driving along a road with 2 lanes and there's 2 people cruising next to each-other at 60 when its a 70 zone just because they have to turn right 3km's down the road

Lets see if people start getting booked though

the F3 is a joke when it comes to people in the right hand lane

when you have a commodore towing a race car driving in LH lane and going quicker than everyone else while still doing under 110kms is fkn joke. dont they realise that they are stupid?

Bout time, I hate people like that... It's the worst when u overtake them and then they speed up ... It's f**ked, they do 70 in an 80 zone but once u get infront sum of the pricks tail gate ya... f**kin knobs. I'll give them all the one finger salute

    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
    • I take it that the knock retard is from bearings tapping a little tune? Thicker oil is a fragile bandaid. You need a much bigger oil cooler and probably the bigger pump being discussed.
