Same thing I thought incidentally with 600rwkw dyno pony...

Put a GT35 on it, then there would be interesting... If you can keep it pointed in the general direction of forward of course :D

It will have weight advantage on it's side though to be fair. It's a SL or similar so IIRC they are around 1250-1280 stock which isn't bad. Final weight would be interesting with the heavy Ford 9" but reduced fuel tank etc.

Didnt notice the 9" part.

LOL 9" diff in a VL that is a "circuit car" and not a drag car

Did some google, looks to have some sort of 4 link in the back but thats about it...Cant find any real details about from "it makes 11ty horsepowers"

Variety is the spice of life!

Good to see more than just a bunch of evo, wrx and gtr's going around.

That said, I don't think it will set any records. If it adds aero and some good sized rubber, it could be reasonably quick.

At a recent supersprint at EC, the old Larry Perkins VL Group A racecar reeled off a 1:48, so I would expect this VL to be similiar and perhaps a bit quicker. 1:45's?

I say 10 :)

At least the ba had v8 supercar suspension.

And tyres they are twice as wide lol.

I did notice in the pics the VL is on full slicks...might be even more intersing once he throws some semis on it.

Standard VL guards are tiny....he would be lucky if he could get 235's under it at that ride height

Googled him:

Street Commodores says, "Jason is currently fitting up his 12in wide ROH wheels and mid-way through a wide-body conversion to help the car in the aerodynamics and traction department"

And on calaisturbo the owner said it's "1380kg with driver before the nine inch, so bloody heavy with that in". He also said he hasn't driven it with this engine/power or on semis.

I couldn't find any times for the car except drag and dyno results.

What do people think about this entry? Absolutely flying at Mallala recently and with more power and room to wind up it should be quick!

Also has too much horsepower to be useable.

Look at the Pro Class cars, with the Exeption ofMark Berry and Lofty most of the quick cars had around 550hp give or take.

No need for 800hp circuit cars...espesially RWD ones.

Sold the car

Really?

Was only talking to him and is was sitting in the shed not that long ago. They decided to give WTAC a miss this year.

Lofty is a busy boy playing with his stupid fast Toyota Starlet in IPRA atm which does 42's around the creek with a restrictor :thanks:

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
