Reflector
Well I was lucky enough to store my car in the workshop shed when the hail came, any unfortunate queenslanders that have had their cars damaged? What's the extent? Edit: Ignore the title misspelling >.< Edited December 17, 2010 by Reflector Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/347838-hail-damage/ Share on other sites
chubs
Luckily for me as there is not cover at my gf's place i had to bare driving in the storm and just beat the hail to park up under a bridge till it passed over. It was a pretty freak storm that came outta nowhere. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/347838-hail-damage/#findComment-5595326 Share on other sites

mad082
i managed to get to coles carpark just as the storm got to gympie (just after 5). as usual it split up and went round us. we barely even got any rain. we got some rain out of the storm on wednesday but nothing else. dunno what we'll get out of the one today, but i'm getting sick of these mid 30's degree days with high humidity Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/347838-hail-damage/#findComment-5595398 Share on other sites
sneakey pete
How can you be sick of them? this is about the 3rd one we've had this summer, and we had practically no stormy days last summer. That being said... i took my car for a drive to wivenhoe anyway on wednesday, missed that storm, and yesterday it didn't hit here. mad082
we've had a few of them up here (gympie is often a few degrees hotter than birssy in summer - and a few degrees cooler in winter), as well as the fact that my shop has no aircon and is generally hotter than the outside temperature. PWND
missed all the hail, which is good as i only have one undercover park at the moment and four cars to park. Jay11
At home it started hailing a little bit and the car was parked on the street so I grabbed blankets, ran outside, and put them on the car to cover most of the panels.... luckily the hail was only small. Smity42
yeah same. Never seems to hail where I am. I still believe hail in brisbane is a myth. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/347838-hail-damage/#findComment-5596666 Share on other sites
GTR-N1
It 'never' hails in Penrith (W.Sydney), but it bucketed down on Thur 16th > My Forester got in the way of it Not real big stuff > no dents on the steel roof; but plenty on the aluminium bonnet.
