Could you do me a favour a let people know ill have the net back tomorrow. Order will be put through tomorrow and i hopefully will have a pic for the guys of the new design backing. Also if you could mention that their new carpet supplier is dearer and thus its going to be $10 more. Ill add more detail tomorrow evening and explain the price rise and other stuff. Just thought you might be able to get in earlier than me and thus people will know info ASAP.

come on mate, its a week on since the last update, this is getting beyond ridiculous.

If you want to adjust the price then start frequenting your own group buy thread again.

I too would like a refund if the price is going up by $10.

I know I said I'm not in a hurry but this wait is a bit ridiculous.

Yea, +1 here... if they magically turn up on my doorstep I'm happy to pay the extra, but otherwise i'd prefer a refund because you have had my money for over 2 months now

hungry, its now over a week since your last "update" and still no sign of you.

This is getting beyond a joke, either start frequenting the forum again and take control of you group buy, or cancel the lot and refund everyone.

I was happy to hold on whilst the supplier issues were sorted out, but thats apparently been done, but now your awol and we're getting requests for more money.

Perhaps that request would have gone down better if you had delivered it yourself or come online the day after as promised.

Is it worth Contacting the place he is getting the mats Made direct to see if he has even ordered them, or had contact with them, if not they would have delt with him in past group buys which means they would have his contact details ?

f**k yea, good idea! Who's gonna do it?

Just sent an Email to [email protected] after finding the Email address on the contact page of matcraft.com.au

Hi,

David Grabowicz was organising a group buy for a number of SkylinesAustralia members.

We have transferred the money to him, but he seems to be having internet troubles lately so we can't get in touch.

Have you received an order for the floor mats or have you been in contact?

http://www.skylinesa...-mat-group-buy/

Thanks,

Isaac

Guess I am just a bit pissed for a few reasons, I mean I understand sometimes we all go through personal matters, but when you look at the history of his group buys there is seems to be something that happens every time. (Bad Luck maybe ?)

I am a fairly new member on SAU but surely there are some kind of rules when it comes to group buys and people changing the prices without letting us know ?

Because what stops people organising group buys and getting members money and then just taking the price up once they have your first "agreed" amount ?

Should we request a copy of the invoice ? or call the company direct ? (In some cases I guess prices can change)

I am a pretty reasonable guy and understand that things can change, but I should be able to choose once its changed weather I want to go ahead with the order or not ?

I do not see how the person doing the group buy can decide for us, then just say its this price now.

If one of the Moderators can please step in and advise with this that will be greatly appreciated.

At the end of the day if he refuses to give me a refund my only option will be to pay $10 extra unless someone happens to want the mats I bought. I have waiting long enough and I don't see myself waiting till someone wants the mats I have ordered.

This has been a very frustrating and un professional group buy and I am glad its coming to a end.

------------------ (This is a email I have received from him this afternoon)

Hey Mate,

Can you please send me a refund, I am not willing to Pay the extra $10.

Regards

to meshow details 2:54 PM (16 minutes ago)Hey Paul,

I just got back from Melbourne, the order was finished on Tuesday and is in transit to me at present so should be here hopefully tomorrow or Monday. Ill be on SAU later tonight and ill run some calcs about exactly how much extra it has cost as i paid for it with my own cash to not place any further delays. The increase in the price is mainly down to two thing, them having a new carpet supplier that charges more for their carpet and also increase in freight to get it to me. If you still dont want them post on SAU if anyone else wants them and ill also try in the next few days to find someone that will be happy to take them and then ill refund you using that money. Any other problems let me know, ill be on SAU later tonight after uni to straighten things out as its been a bit chaotic with unforeseen stuff happening leaving me struggling to be on the net at all.

Regards

to Davidshow details 3:01 PM (9 minutes ago)Hi,

Can I please have a refund though, because you should have talked to us before the price went up, I agreed to pay for goods in a group buy for a certain price. I understand that things may have changed but this information needs to be flowed down to us who are the people that wanted to get the mats. This then gives us the option of wether we want to go ahead or not, but you made the decision for us without talking to anyone in this group buy first. The other guys may be happy to pay the extra amount but I do not agree this is right wether its $1 more or $100 more, thats something that we should have been able to given a chance to decide on.

Let me know when you can give me a refund.

Regards

Paul.

yeah it is a bit mixed, from a business perspective David would have done well to send the money as soon as the order and quote was confirmed. This would have obliged matt craft to honor the original quote.

That said he didnt and instead waited until after the supplier issues were sorted, good in as much as people who didnt want to wait could "technically" cancel, bad in as much as it left the order open to adjustment (price rises included).

Now at the end of the day $10 dollars isnt much to me, and if i know i'm getting what i ordered i guess i can deal with it at the end of the day.

The down side however is that i now have a less than stellar impression of Daves group buys. Once you've accepted people money your obligated to keep them in the loop and work your ass off making sure everyone is across any changes. Take a look at PM-R33's pedal GB, its been through hell and back yet he's made sure he replied to each and every query.

So to Dave, mate if the mats are coming, thanks for organising it all and finishing the deal, but if you lose net for a time, call a friend daily and get them to monitor the thread and relay details, delegate what you can and keep your buyers happy.

It means less anger and bad blood that way.

Wise words, totally agree with your, I am also waiting on the pedals, but not causing any stress as we have been informed, well I guess $10 is just $10 lol

i cant believe in this day and age someone would be without net

if my cable at home goes down i jump on my phone :/

addicted to SAU much ;)

In his email he stated that he will get back to us when he gets home from uni, I am pretty sure that at Uni they have internet lol

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
