As mentioned I'm a fan of the Marysville idea, think it would be nice to support the local community there (afternoon tea at one of the local cafe's etc). I've got a mate with an S1 who's keen as well.

Monash car park would be a good place to meet up as there's plenty of space there to line em up. I've organised to borrow the old's SLR for the day so I'm happy to take camera duty. The cam also does 720p video at a reasonable framerate so I'll be sure to have the missus on duty during the drive itself.

6th of Feb Sunday.

Cruise to marysville - Or if to far we'll decide at the meet.

Any Ideas where to meet?

usually when i oragnaise cruises, we have 2 seperate meets. east meet and west meet, just so we can cruise together in seperate groups for the first official meet spot.

but i dont know where marysville is, but anyway we usually for the westies meet at ring road maccas. plenty of parking and its on the freeway. i suggest depending on which direction it is, the meet spot should be at a servo on a freeway,

that way we can all fillup/top up so we dont need to do random stops during the day for 1 person to fill up. plus everyone can stock up on food n drinks if needed and theres usually a resturant attached weather it be subway maccas etc. so we can all get a feed together. might aswell break bread with eachother.

Can't remember where you are coming from mate, but the link below shows Taylors Lakes (first western 'burb that I thought of) to Maysville.

Healesville would act as a good join-up point for the East and West groups.

hahah taylors lakes is where i live!

ok... so we gotta come to the east....

WESTIES i will be at the BP on sharps rd (I say sharps road because for those who live off the calder its the first exit, and also for those coming from the deer park area, its also an easy exit from the freeway!!!!)

ill get there at 8:00 AM... will wait til 8:30am before i head off to the main meet spot, wherever that may be!...

if i dont know how long its going to take to get to the mainspot, so 1.5 hours should be suffice.

wait......

is there any stag owners from the west? haha

Do you want me to map out something and email it through?

Do you want hills?

Coastal?

Epic otways/GOR day trip?

Baw Baw?

just put votes down for portsea or marysville and the most votes wins ON the day...ARRON ARE YOU COUNTING..

+1 PORTSEA BACK ROADS through RYE

SUNDAY DRIVERS THROUGH THE SPUR = FAIL

Motorbike coppers at yarra glen= fail

good idea with the votes.. please also keep in mind that the spur is becoming known for the point to point cams RB_Ryan, if you could that would be great... im not to farmiliar with the area so it kind of makes me confused lol

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
