I don't know what yard that's from but I bet you my left nut the km's are not genuine. And that catback looks like a Kaki to me. This is how a Nismo one should look.

lol... Isn't that off a PM35 Axis S, Eugene?

Second generation Nismo exhaust for series 1 M35's was similar to the pic above and the first generation Nismo exhaust had twin square pipes out of the muffler

I was going to do it for my Ek to give it an EK9 look - if you do not know what you doing do not do it lol i ended up buying new facelifted headlights as I cooked mine

1st gen Nismo (3" pipe - basically the same design as Fujitsubo Legalis) was available from 2001-late 2002.

2nd gen Nismo (~2.5" pipe) was available from late 2002 and should still be able to be purchased new. It had the oval tip. Ask Iain for a pic of it as one came off Stephens wrecked M35.

Either could be purchased with or without the sound deadening valve

The one off Stephens is the same as mine, I think? In which case its a "Nissan Sports Muffler", not "Nismo".. unless they're actually one in the same unsure.gif

No, I don't think they are. Nismo definitely changed the rear muffler for the second gen NM35 muffler to one with the oval tip and dropped the pipe size to under 3"... but perhaps the "Nissan Sports Muffler" could be a factory fitted option whereas the Nismo is a dealer option?

Possibly. Definitely an easy way to determine if tis the same or not, due to the markings on my exhaust, part number included

Indeed (I saw one of these go through Yahoo late last year - for the first time lol).

Difficult to confuse the two if you are looking at 'em, Nismo exhausts have "Nismo" and "Weldina" on them.

Hi Mate,

due to some travel issues with work i have decided to sell mine, if you're interested please let me know. i would be glad to meet up and you can check it out.

http://www.carsales....12796&silo=1011

the price has been dropped to $16,999 and i'm waiting for carsales to update my add.

if you have any questions please dont hesitate to call.

Thanks

Stefan

Nice car, good luck with the sale. I looked at it but the aftermarket CD player and the leather interior are not on my list of requirements :)

Mine is exactly as per pic from Duncan, it's labelled as a Nissan Sports Muffler and has Calsonic stamped on the underneath of it. I believe it is a Nismo option but was not labelled as such.

parramatta road - allimports - will be in the morning

ohmy.gif....make sure you get definately an independent inspection if your buying off them!

The mob next door is much better....Japlink

and if your in that direction go to E&M Unique there cars are even better!....I know I've seen most of them!

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
