Hey all,

Well I got my injectors seated into my rail and I reused my old O rings. I did not fit them into the car yet though. After reading, alot of people are saying not to reuse the O rings.

Problem is I cant find them and apparently Nissan charge half a penis for them.

To confirm, are these the parts I need?

"O-RING HOU LWR" - 16618 - 53J00

"O-RING HOU UPR" - 16618 - 10V05

Ive still got the rubber seats and the spacer shit, I just need to small and big O rings.

I found a few shops on eBay selling sets for silvias(in 4's) for a pretty decent price(I recall 10.60 for the item + about 10 on post). Is that my best option?

These are the links, if anyone can confirm these are the parts I need ill hassle the seller to make me a kit of 6.

Also found some EFI shop in Melbourne which I contacted but not too sure if they got the parts I need. If anyone has dealt with them or what ever, please let me know.

Cheers!

Yeah it's sad Nissan charge either 6 or 8 dollars a seal which is f*ken ridiculous you could try efi performance they do seals can't remember how much tho also places like auto barn sell generic injector seals you take your old ones down an they match them up I payed 2 dollars a seal from there

The o-rings are a special type that doesn't break down over time with fuel hitting it. That's the reason they would be expensive. I re-used my old ones on my nismo 555's purely because it was Christmas and I would be without a car for a few days without injectors. No leaks so far, but I have a front facing plenum so if they do leak it's not hard to take them out and fix them.

If your desperate you can check your current o-rings for defects and if they appear ok then they may (I'm not saying definitely) should be ok to re-use

What to look for. Make sure there are no cuts, pinch marks, tears etc etc anything really that makes you worry either don't use it or put up a photo.

The o-rings should be a bit soft. Fuel o-rings are a little harder then some o-rings but if you can squish it a bit it should be fine. If it's rock hard and doesn't stretch etc then it's no good.

That is if you want to re-use what you have. It's a pain to fix if it goes wrong and you have a standard manifold but lol. Id keep that in mind

In the case of rubber, when I was talking to my mechanic (nissan specialist), he said the difference between genuine Nissan rubber (cam seals in particular as I had him do my 100k service) and aftermarket rubber (Gates) is significant. The Nissan cam seals are nice and soft whereas the aftermarket cam seals are rock hard, I'm not saying which is better for that cam seal application (hard vs soft), just pointing out quality difference what is supposed to be the same part.

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
