Hey guys, just a quick question. I have a vg30 turbo in my R32, and noticed it has 2 lines (instead of just one) coming from the front housing into to a t-pice then to the wastgate )

Whereas the two pictured below only have one or the other (mine had both)

Can anyone one tell me the difference(s) between these two vg30 turbos?

I assume theyre both the same as they're both on the same side of the housing, but I'd like to know as Im installing a manual boost controller between them.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers :)

^^possibly, would like to clear it up anyway.

you need to remove the T piece then connect the boost nipple to the actuator. The boost controller goes in between.

Left is a VL holden turbo, right is an R33 Rb25det S1 turbo.

Thanks for the info, still doesnt explain what I have though, my turbo has two boost nipples (a cross between the two above pics) like this:

why would there be two istead of one? And is this normal to run from both nipples to the acutator?

Ok so both nipples are connected and join into one which then goes to the actuator? If so then i don't think it will really cause problems, but it is weird for it to be like that. Really it's just two different points to pick up the boost feed from, there's discussion on which is best

This isn't a normal setup but I don't see it causing major problems as boost should be roughly the same at both points, I think turbulence plays a small part but don't remember. Plug one up if possible I guess? Or run it how it is......

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
