sewid
brasso. its an abrasive polish so it should cut the plastic back a bit. works good on plastic - eg R33 headlights. Chris32
Matt funnily enough I had the same thing on my 32, used a Meguiars polish, cant remember the exact name but it was called Paint Cleaner or something like that, used it on my car to get rid of old polish etc. Worked a treat, did it about 3 or 4 times, looks better than new - will try and get the name of the stuff Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35465-how-to-get-smears-of-instrument-cluster-plastic/#findComment-708654 Share on other sites

Guest RedLineGTR
Is the plastic just dirty??? or does it have scratches in it?? If its just dirty try some glass cleaner or something not to harsh. If it has some scratches and bonded contaminants, if your stuck on ideas or cant be bothered going in to the shops then you can try some furtniture polish (Mr Sheen..etc) but one of the products i have used on my dash and also on cd's etc is Meguires Plastic Polish & Meguires Plastic Cleaner with the combination of both the results are nearly as good as brand new. See How you Go. Cheers Rob Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35465-how-to-get-smears-of-instrument-cluster-plastic/#findComment-708786 Share on other sites
the phantom
Plain old toothpaste and elbow grease will work on polishing out scratches from the plastic instrument lens...tried it and it works well.
