And for some' date=' the thrill of doing crazy shit is worth more than the possibility of getting caught. Its hard to explain to some, but I know the sort of thing, you know its wrong and yet you can't help it because its a rush and releases all those crazy endorphins and things which you can actually get hooked on as much as any drug. So you do it more and more to get that same rush. Anyhow, I leave that to the psychologists out there - but for some types of people its just what happens and why you get serial Base Jumpers and shit like that, that know they'll get caught but do it anyhow. And its not simply a matter of "shouldn't", "wrong", etc.

AHaahaha thats exactly the sorta thing the pysch said.it wasnt like i was sneaking around, i was driving down the road damn well knowing that what i was doing was wrong. And saying hey here i am come catch me.It is like i love the adrenaline.its kinda of like a stress release i used to do it with fighting but nearly went to prison for assaults. Also on bikes but i cant ride them anymore so i turned it to high speeds and dumb shit in my car.I am some kind of adrenaline junkie now i just gotta find a new outlet.I was having a big sook last night on my previous post.was wrecked.not gonna give up my passion for cars but am gonna sell my 34 and definatly not drive on public roads till end of my suspension. So who want to my a r34 or some mad goodies then aye????????

and for somebody who is actually a reasonable aussie bloke

High speed bike adventures on public roads, repeated licence suspensions and ignoring the law TWICE and driving anyway, on the brink of a jail sentence for driving offences, on the brink of a jail sentence for assault charges...... sounds like a top "aussie bloke".

And for some, the thrill of doing crazy shit is worth more than the possibility of getting caught. You think the rest of us aren't hooked on the same adrenaline rushes? Some people on SAU own MUCH more powerful cars than he does... Imagine the rush they/we get when nailing the throttle. If he's addicted to the feeling, compare that to what they/we feel...

The difference is, some of us are mature enough to take it off the roads and experience that "rush" and "crazy endorphins" on the racetrack.

edit: Anyway, I'm glad you didn't get jail time... Doesn't really fit the crime when you consider everything else happening out there. Sounds like it might have done you some good though hs.gif

i used to do it with fighting but nearly went to prison for assaults

Dystany is on your side! Cause I do big mouth thugs for free, with a smile. Your really sounding more & more like a real cok-a-roach filled with fruit loops. Looks like I'm gunna have to pay up that $100 bucks to SAU!

Merli you sound like a real arse wipe always ready to jump on peoples back about doing the wrong thing. You never learned a lesson the hard way?? ?never made mistakes and learnt from them? It’s called life u arrogant prick. As for being mature I heard it comes with age. Now from my mistakes I have learnt a lesson. Save it for the track. The point of this thread was to try and persuade some younger drivers to not go down the same track as I have and show them the possible outcomes of doing so. As it’s just not worth it. Most likely they haven’t got the superior sense you posses and high adrenaline producing power that is based on a kw/adrenaline scale you quoted. Now rack off to being the law abiding, upstanding, never made a mistake community role model. You perceive you are. I don’t need your input or to tell me I messed up .I already know this. If you have nothing positive to say piss back off to your perfect life.

personally i am glad u started this thread as it makes us high powered car owners think about our actions and responsibilities on the road and the possible consequences if we break rules....

lets hope there is something learnt from this thread by all who read it, there really is no need for bagging anyone, its not gonna achieve anything except create anger and hatred.

rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

I have made mistakes, and I have learned from them. But based on your comments in this thread, YOU however have not learnt anything.

"i have to give it away or i will reoffend gauranteed."?????

And you're sitting there at your computer claiming that you've learnt from your mistakes? Are you serious??? ugh2.gif

"The point of this thread was to try and persuade some younger drivers to not go down the same track as I have"

You are in no position to be persuading or influencing any younger members of our community on how to lead their lives rofl.gif

I'm not perfect, but then again I'm not stupid enough to get my licence suspended and then get caught driving during the suspension period......... TWICE rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

Oh, and you ****ed up. Learn to take the criticism. It comes with the territory and you should be used to it by now slap.gif

Hey keyboard warrior, If you read my next post i say that i was having a sook. (about the earlier post). So im not giving it away, just my car as 2 years 3 months garaged is not viable in many ways other than temptation. And i am in position to tell of my mistakes and hope younger drivers may take heed from them.its called good advice and showing the outcomes of doing the wrong thing.Learn to take criticism from you mr flame? your points being what? maturity? maturity comes with age you aint born with it thats why its called maturity.

Adrian, it aint about being mature, it & life is all about "redemption". Before your "OF ALL PEOPLE" start prophecising & preaching about good & evil, you must first "redeem yourself". In bush tucker talk, "clean your own backyard before you worry about others, there BLOKE!".

You must be kidding to say how you want others to learn... "Can you actually hear what your saying???" Mate the only thing I've learnt, is there's obviously enough room in this world for more clowns.... In no particular order the nominations for King Oscar the Clown.....are:

1. MINES_DATSUN - in the smash hit tina turner remake.. "bus stop.."

2. TOS from MCCR or whatever, who wrapped his car around the tree in QLD & took pics.

3. Adrian from SAU - Your gonna cost me $100 bucks, coz your what any normal person would call a fool who just wont learn till he's dead or kills someone else's brother, sister, mother, father...! "god forbid"

4. That 300zx - "duke of hazard" wanna be.

Mr. Flame :D :D :D

I like it!!!! Thank you!

Mr. Flame, I'm Mr. Flame, just say my name, it's Mr. Flame!!!

And why am I a keyboard warrior? I'll say the same thing to people in real life, but you obivously don't know me... What do I have to do not to be a keyboard warrior? Be arrested and convicted with assault charges? rofl.gif

Keyboard warrior????

You come onto an internet forum where people post messages they've typed with their KEYBOARDS and when you cop some critisism for you actions you immediately assume that the person on the other end is a KEYBOARD WARRIOR??? Please explain to me the logic behind that comment because it makes no sense.

As for you actions... seriously, speeding and being caught TWICE whilst suspended is not even something my 13 year old brother can comprehend as the actions of a MATURE adult.

Have you REALLY learnt your lesson or are you just posting that crap on the forums like so many other KEYBOARD WARRIORS?

Man, its amazing how self-richeous people get when they get on a public forum...

Do you go around telling junkies on the street how they should clean up their act?? Or tell people off the streets what they should and shouldn't be doing?

I don't think so...

anyhow, off the high horses.. who gives a ****. Whats done is done, none of us except him are the ones that have to deal with the consequences.

Did i say i was a mature adult?. No obviously by my actions i am fu(ked up and am maturing from the consequences. And whats wrong with your eyesight? I said i have learned my lesson and was hoping someone else could learn from my lesson or know the consequences of leading my path. but u aint interested in what im trying to say to other people, u guys seem only interested in telling someone how stupid he is and that he hasnt learnt from his mistakes and flaming him for learning the stupid and hard way.

I hope your right, and maybe this is your wake up call. But by what you've been saying, your gonna have one heck of a fight trying to stay out of trouble the next 15~whatever months... We'll just have to wait & see, coz if you fu(k it again, you are gonna be CROWNED "KING of all Clowns"... ha!

poor bastard... all i can say is lucky u werent in a VL or else u would have been locked up and had a few phone book bruises across ur forehead as well

.... honestly. i feel sorry for ya cause u got caught.. cause 9/10 people do fang theres around like idiots that we natrually are.. but only 1/100 of use really get dickedin da arse like u did..

just be lucky ur not bubbas lil bitch now i guess..

:-)

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
