The Bad.Well first off , l was totally disappointed by the turnout (15 cars l think)

And by the end off the day there was 5 cars going home in a convoy , and 3 stayed back for the motel.

The good.

It was a great day for driving , lots of sunshine (except later in got cloudy)

Everybody behaved & no major trouble.

We even managed to do the route that the 2nd day squad would have driven on Sunday.

Passed the 12 Apostles and onto Port Campbell before coming back.

well any way heres a link to some PHOTOS.

Ye was a rather dismal turnout considering we normally get 50 cars, and we book the hotel out WITHOUT taking money. Guess people will have to pre-pay from now on :ermm:

Easy drive down/back. Not one caravan for a change hehe.

I was going to come back to the motel till 6/7pm or so, but work got the better of me.

I spent all lunch working whilst @ the fish'n'chips shop and then had to leave immediately :(

Bit of a downer in that respect as i reckon the 2nd day is the best part of it all!

as others have said bit of a disapointing turnout, but otherwise was a good cruise, no troubles, weather held up and not many slow drivers through the twisties which was good

i had a great time, for the group who drove back sorry i was driving a bit slow, was because i relaised my stock suspension is pretty bad in terms of handeling but having 6.5inch wide rear wheels with approx 170kw at the wheels wasnt really helping either

good news is coilovers n strut brace are goin in this week so should be ready for the next official

will post up some of the pics i took throughout the day later on when i get them on my pc

I had an awesome time...

Sorry I took off when Ash did... ...I'd forgotten that I had told my GF I'd take her to her friends place for dinner...

I'll get my photos and videos up soon...

wow that comment sounds like this :P

It was a great cruise... despite the small turnout. Was expecting to see at least 30 cars...

weather was perfect and traffic wasn't too bad. There were a few slow cars on the GOR but most pulled aside to give us a clean run. Had an awesome time and great to meet you guys who turned up.

i was bummed i couldn't make it due to moving into new house and trying to get swimming pool sorted out and everything setup and installed. Perhaps the fact that 98 octane fuel was $1.63 a litre on Saturday had something to do with the low turnout.

that is just awesome!

most times people just sit there keeping you back knowingly.... like that 4wd from GOR day 2 2009

Lucky i filled up on Friday night when it was still a manageable 1.40 after 4c Coles discount for V-power

Well was a bummer to see only 15 cars turning up, considering the last GOR cruise with 50 cars, but nevertheless it was a fun day with good weather and some good twisties with less traffic, Its good that we did all of the stage 2 route on the 1st day itself... Was definitely worth it!!! :)

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
