It is just a shame that it is so biased. It would be alot better if there cars were of a more equal set up. I think it would then put the presure back on the drivers. Watching it today was a bit boring because ferrai just whopped and no one even looked close!

would have to agree with you there. a 1 horse race is extremely boring to watch (pardon the pun)

But seriously F1 without Shuemacker (I can't spell) is like basketball without Jordan! I know i lost interest once he retired...

hrm can't agree with you here ;)

jordan was an unbelievably good basketball player but he didnt break all the records. players like wilt chamberlain for instance have better stats than jordan but jordan was far better "entertainment".

i believe the F1 will live without schuey as the F1 spectacle is not purely focused on the drivers talent. people come to appreciate not only the racing but the technology, the colour, the sound, the smell and the atmosphere.

also, being a motorsport its hard not to think schuey has an unfair advantage over the rest of the drivers because his car is soo much quicker! thus it begs the question "how good is schuey?".

how about craig lowndes's move from HRT to FORD? its fair to say that he hasnt dominated aswell as he did when he was over at HRT meaning the HRT car had a slight edge over the rest of the field?

so my point is, basketball died (i feel the same way) because they lost someone who made the game come alive - he was also a great role model. with F1, they will always appreciate the other things that make the sport entertaining.

Maybe not this year but Alonso, Kimi, Webber and Button are all very good drivers who will improve rapidly over the next couple of years into drivers who will dominate F1, really MS is the better driver at the moment in the best team, he has not has the best drivers with the experience to match him for a full season, only JPM in the last 2 years has challenged him along with rubens, the others have not been in the same class. The other will get faster very quick(hopefully) and we can have a season as good as last year.

If Webber gets a competative drive (ie Williams or Renault) I think you will see some serious competition for Schuey already I think he is going to have his hands full with Alonso and Montoya. I dont know if mclaren have the package this year to take it to him judging by their abismal start.

Speaking of which how do you think Montoya is feeling after mclaren's performance yesterday? :)

It will be interesting in the next few years if michael retires will his entourage he took with him from benneton also retire!! and how will Ferrari cope with losing everyone.

Alos Ralf has apparently signed with Renault so there is now 2 seats at Williams in 05..... DC and Webber? Webber and Button? it will be interesting :)

schumaker retiring is an interesting discussion, I keep hear ppl talk about it but he always denies.

How old is he anyway? I think that because he's broken so many records that ppl assume he must be near the end of his career.....

BS franks, MS made ferrari, they wer shit when he went to them. Remember albereto, Burger and jean alesi. They wer a no where team.

Also it is interesting to wonder if or when MS retires, how will ferrari go? Do u think he would hang around and help run the team?

Finally, theres no chance DC will go to Williams again. Hes a dud driver and his time is up. I cant believe he lasted so long.

okay, my comments were fairly general :D and to a degree you're spot on. i would say though, the combination of ferrari and MS is a winning one.

Dud driver my ass :D the only dud driver is anyone that drives the number2 at Ferrari.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
