I'll take it!!!!!! Is it the big or small one?

Guys one of the guys has asked for a refund (which is completely understandable) however due to the cost of these, I simply can't afford to refund out of my own pocket. So if some one doesn't mind waiting to see this through they can take his spot. Otherwise I'll have to hit up Hel for a refund.

No reply back from Speedflow so I think i'm going to have to call them on Monday.

Three oil coolers got sent out to guys that didn't mind having the blue and red fittings and I have messaged them their tracking numbers.

Hel are still trying to speed things up on their end but so far no good news there.

None of the fittings are on the lines. This allows every one to cut the line to length that they require so you don't have excessively long lines.

I always thought that the fittings would be seperate (like in the photos). It wasn't until the f*ck up with the red and blue fittings that I thought that they may have attached them, however they hadn't. They just ment they were in the box (And thank god, because I really didn't want to be removing fittings and refitting new ones).

The guys that have theirs arriving (there are three of them) all have red and blue fittings. They didn't want to wait any longer so I got theirs sent out.

For the time being there has been no progress with getting any fittings so looks like we are just going to have to wait until Hel get them. I'm emailing with them every few days to check the progress but for the mean time all we can do is wait.

Hope that clears things up a little bit.

That's ok, my bad for assuming they would be connected... Actually a better idea being able to cut to length :)

Are we not meant to have 2 metal brackets for the oil cooler, I just looked at the photos and saw 2, mine only came with one haha

Yeah I like the idea of being able to cut the hose to length (even though I hate putting fittings onto braided lines lol. Always end up getting cut up!)

It's only one bracket I got told, not sure why there is a picture of two in that first pic.

How hard would the fittings be to fit Phil?

It's not that bad. Some people have no problems with it. I usually struggle with small braided lines, but the bigger ones usually are fine.

In the DIY I write up, i'll put up a couple of Youtube links that helped me learn a couple of tricks to putting fittings on.

yep i received mine today also... very good quality, happy with it...

Just a quick question, simon did yours come with 2 lines or one? are we suppose to cut the 1 line in half to make 2 lines or something, because i've only got 1 line?

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
