GTR-N1
well i got his rego number ! im just worried that i dont have insurance maybe i cant get that claim! Following on from Patrick's advice... If the driver hit your car and drove off without leaving you details, you should take that rego number to the police, describe what happened and especially emphasise that he drove off from the scene of an accident. You will then get an Event Number. If police can'r or won't chase him down, then get a traffic lawyer and give him/her the Event Number. There's a thread in SAU.NSW with a list of traffic lawyers. How bad is the damage? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358363-dumb-cabbies/#findComment-5726195 Share on other sites

.:: GimpS-R34 ::.
so you you mean that i cant make a claim untill i buy my insurace? No. not at all.. But you said in your other thread that you are getting third party insurance yes? Well third party covers a vehicle you hit.. It doesnt usually cover your car if you are hit by someone else.. YOUR insurance company will not fix, pay for, then chase the person who hit you on third party.. So what i'm getting at is if someone else hit you then it's up to them to fix it.. If you want assurance i recommend comprehensive insurance. Then your insurance company will help you out in these circumstances.. If you don't wish to pay the price of comprehensive then tough titties when this does happen, hope they have insurance and is going to play ball.. jawrgy
hehe ill bite. YOUR third party, meaning the insurance you have = fix other cars if you are at fault. NOT YOURS (compulsory every1 must have or its illegal to drive said car) Comprehensive will fix both cars = higher premium but peace of mind. If a car hits you their insurance pays you to get your car fixed. If the person who hits you is gay and doesnt want to pay follow what some people up top said about reporting it to police etc etc Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358363-dumb-cabbies/#findComment-5731230 Share on other sites

warps
Kellogg's are running a promotion at the moment - every 1000th box of Coco Pops has a full comprehensive insurance policy in it for whatever vehicle you nominate.. I suggest you go out and keep buying boxes of Coco pops until you find that elusive insurance policy. Now here is the important bit - you must take out the policy on the OTHER car, but name yourself as the beneficiary. This way you can claim any damage to your car that this taxi has caused. If anyone else ever hits your car, then you have to go through the same procedure, and nominate the other car on the policy. Rinse and repeat HTH Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358363-dumb-cabbies/#findComment-5731259 Share on other sites

They know. I don't know how they know, but they know. Sorry is it just-like-a-chocolate-milkshake-only-crunchy coming back up too? Yes, only slightly warmer, and maybe not so crunchy - except for the diced carrot which it now contains. That's always crunchy.
