bird pecked holes all through my sunroof rubber the other day, ring honda for replacement seal 145$ :woot: its currently full of silicone

I am no longer a fan of sunroofs, but they are great for sucking farts out of your car and getting a burnt forehead

Anyway if you want something luxo RWD and dont want a falcodore get a beamer..

IS200 > Altezza RS200 perhaps?

BTW, Congratulations on a great pic of your car in the current Performance Imports Mag #133 Longz - well deserved!

In the R32 GT-R 21st Anniv segment.

Thanks alot terry ! i was surprised it made it in the magazine too , im sure your beautiful bayside blue will be the next one in :banana:

P.S i am considering selling the GTR as well

need more suggestion guys ! :)

As i own a Beamer, I have to say, for luxury, price, style, performance, comfort; everything in the one package, you can't beat an E46 Coupe.

In WA you can pick up a ~2002 E46 325Ci with the sat-nav options, sunroof, leather, under 120,000kms for around the $22-$24K mark.

Of course in the Eastern States they will be a fair bit cheaper.

I suggest you go look/test drive a few. They are a great cruiser, and have a really good compromise on fuel economy and power. (Top speed of my Beamer is 240km/h no bullshit )

As a reference, my year 2000 323Ci is for sale for $19,500 atm (http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=0&R=10273093&keywords=&trecs=4&__sid=1190B3595876&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294967079%204294729572%204294967053%20904&silo=1011). The KMs might seem high at 160,000, but I have never had a single problem with it and love it to bits! Sad I have to sell it :(

i am defiantly interested in looking into the BMW's 325Ci they seem really nice any other BMW's that are good and are around 20k and under mark ?

Also looking into the mazda 3's sp23 how are they ?

V35 coupe with sunroof.

I sold mine almost a year ago with a fair bit of fruit for 26500. Should be cheaper now.

Get one in manual for 6spd getrag box.

Vq35de 206 kw.

Handles quite well, based on 350z chassis. Looks good with wheels and lowered etc. Nice interior and good creature comforts.

Oh and they sound horn with a good exhaust. I'd show you pics but posting from phone.

I picked up an is200 6 speed manual for a daily about 3 months ago for a bargain - everything perefect, had to do some work to it though, as per servicing requirements.

- changed timing belt and pulleys

- water pump

- drive belts

- fluids

- throttle position sensors died on me 2 weeks ago, causing massive drivability issues (drive by-wire system) - had to replace them.

is200 is a good car overall just make sure you get the 6 speed manual version, if you want to get the most of it - they aren't very fast - comparible to the latest corolla in terms of straight line performance.

The better model is the is300 if you want the grunt, but the price difference is quite alot.

But it all depends on your price range.

That I've found in the is200.

- great around corners

- brakes well - but lacks feel compared to a skyline.

- great on petrol - getting about 9.5L/100 in urban on BP Ultimate. Still haven't drivin it on the open road. (It's strictly my daily/A to B car)

- engine is quite revvy on the freeway - 6th gear 3200rpm @ 100km/h

- very easy to park

- sideview mirrors are not the best, make sure you get those circular blind spot mirrors

- 6 speed gearbox is bliss to change - nice close ratios and I love the feel, no issues with the gearbox.

- People say there are some examples with shift quality issues with the manual versions from 1st ->2nd ->3rd - be on the look out

- Clutch is a bit vague for my personal liking - but it is not bad.

- cruise control only on the auto models

- very comfortable

- awesome stock stereo - mine works fine 100% (CD part of the headunit tends to fail what I've read in other forums)

- smooth engine, sounds awesome once revved above 4k

i heard that older bmw's stuff up alot ? any BMW above 5 years has alot of problems

That is very true (basing the info for the 3 series) - plenty of design flaws from the beginning.

I suppose the only way around this is to find a BMW that has been always serviced by a BMW dealership at the correct intervals - as most of the problems would have been fixed. Usually these cars cost much more. There is no such thing as a "cheap" bmw.

The cheap BMWs usually have pending issues or the owner is tired of the high maintenance cost.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
