R32 Gtr Coil Packs In A R32 Gtst

Hi guys, im new to the forum so i couldn't really fined anything on here that helped.

I have an R32 RB20DET 1992 Model. Only has a pod filter and according to the previous owner the turbo has been replaced with an R33 gtst turbo, who knows lol. I been having a very popular misfire problem which I think I have narrowed it down to the coil packs. I got my hands on a set of R32 GTR coil packs and was wondering if they would work. I realised I need to change coil loom to the gtr loom but before i go out n buy the loom i want to know if its worth it.

If it is possible does putting gtr coil packs in a gtst have any performance improvements?

RB20DET and RB26DETT coilpacks are the same if im not mistaken

they are the same. shouldn't need to change the loom as the plugs should be the same. won't gain any performance unless your old coils are shagged and it's misfiring.

Can you post photos? They should be the same. Splitfire replacements use the same part number.
