the main way to tell genuine or not is where the adjuster knob is, on replicas its straight and on genuine the knob is actually recessed a little into the seat.and the metal part isnt straight its bent to suit.

I have asked the supplier and they said they are their photo's and they have the engraved name on the side.

I also just went and checked out some Gias and Cuga replica's here in Brisbane. The Cuga had the engraved name, the Gias did not

Not sure which supplier they came from thuo.

The proof will be in the samples I have ordered. The ones I looked at today were VERY good.

I think the Cuga will be better for daily driving over the Gias.

Can order any backing, FRP, carbon or Kevlar or glitter

i am way keen,

send me a pm of the finer details

The samples arrived today via EMS freight ($600) and all I can say is the quality and finish is VERY VERY good. Gias 2 is complete with all logos and stickers, engraved name up side etc.

Cuga has engraved logo up the side. All stiching is perfect and straight etc. I can not fault them.

I will post detailed photo's tomorrow night with NEW CHEAPER pricing, mainly the freight cost. May start a new thread as I can not edit the first post. Stay tuned.

how much do the gias seats weigh?

did u get it in carbon or FB?

could be tempted to sell my r34 gtr seats and buy a set of these

also is the price cheaper if we get more people?

dont know if i missed it but do they come with rails?

Photo attached are the sample seats I got sent over to check quality

More than happy with them, and as promised new pricing listed below

Also, can these seats be used with the stock seat belts, or do they need a harness? If they need a harness do the rear seats need to be removed and is a mod plate necessary?

You can use the standard seatbelt.

yeah you can but its not as nice as using a harness and you have to do a good mounting position, take care to avoid the seat belt guide as best as possible if your in a series 2, and reaching for the buckle can be annoying, if its not an everyday car then its fine...

I realise it's not as nice, but I want to retain the back seats. I don't have the car yet, but I'm going for an R34. By series 2 do you mean R33? Is there a way to have a harness and keep the back seats?

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
