run home was good. no traffic like usual on a sunday.

what did everyone think overall?

personally there were a few mistakes on my part. which I will correct on the next cruise.

the ending I got a bit out of whack as I was trying to raise the other two cars via two way and missed a turn.

the UHF radio that I had (thanks andrew!!!) were commercial items . range was great ontehm as I was talking to brad and andrew whilst they were still on the hill whilst john and I were already on the flats. I had not idea what band they were on but it was not the 460mhz band. for the 3 of us using them they worked well and kept car spacing fairly even. not sure what was happening on ch8 UHF.

the road to hunchy (razorback rd) was a blast when I did it in the van and a HELL of a lot better in a R32. the astra driver that was in front of us realised quite quickly that there were a lot of cars behind him and moved out of the way.

I had a blast and I know that John (isola) was having his share of fun as well. colin you are a mad man !!

thanks for the support from the SAU team and you guys!!! without you it would not have happened. keep watching as there is another in the works!!

I have a SW and border run already in the mix. border run has already been mapped all I have to do is set a weekend aside to finalise the run before opening it up to the public.

for the next one I will have a 5w hand held UHF and the commercial units.

keep the feedback coming!!

It was a good day and a great drive. Razorback was well fun (even though you were hunting for a brake pedal on the passenger floor, Chris ;) ).

Looking forward to another one!

And Kenny, you bitch... where was my hello?! Actually... what car was yours?

Maaate, I was sitting opposite Chris on the table, my car was the wine red R32 GTR, OZR32 number plates. Where were you mang?

I was in the lead car with Chris. Red 32 with tri spoke wheels.

And I was sitting at one end of the table. I was looking for a white stag!

Hey Chris,

Other than those minor things (which I didn't really notice) it was a really fun way to spend a day, and man were those lunches HUGE. I'll be attending again, maybe in the wedge next time. :)

I know a few people took pics / videos on the day, any chance of some links or something??

there is a facebook page for it. search SAUQLD . if it wont let you add things - make request via the page and I'll sort it from there.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
