sav man
I'm just looking on the CAMS online manual of motorsport, and from what I can see the new regs take effect on Jan 1 2012. where does it say Sept 2011? Risking
It does take full effect Jan 2012 but there is a weening period from sept this year. Basically if your having a Cage fabricated they'd like them to be of the new shedule J All conversations I've had with any of the cam tech guys they are trying to get everything sorted around sept this year to prevent all sorts of dramas with "old" cages come Jan next year. N I B
Its funny to hear the Talk about IPRA hating Late Turbo cars. WA went from the Top LMT state in Australia in 2010 to often not seeing any race this year. We want to run HMSS but it looks like we will run 3D Streetcars. My GTiR is 3J Logbooked but theres just no way we can race in a class that so badly does not want us. I can't even start to explain the pain involved in Turbo IP cars. Duncan
pretty sad outcome considering the effort you put into those cars, and the results they were getting. a turbo car won the ipra nationals this year too...but I hate to think how much that win cost Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365763-cams-shedule-j-overhaul/page/3/#findComment-5983305 Share on other sites

What led to the outcome,2 X Prodrive Engines etc, Huge Input by Racetorque and many years of trying, Mrs Tander to have Engine management issue, Ray Hislop had problems and the Cherry Monaro and said Turbo car coming together at the end of the 1st lap as the Monaro was passing ending up with the Monaro well off the track so a very good drive in a very good car and a Shed load of Luck. All the fast LMT IP cars need 2 engines on rotation etc etc. Under 2ltr IP is perfect, Overs is doomed. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365763-cams-shedule-j-overhaul/page/3/#findComment-5988721 Share on other sites
Risking
Depends on the type of cage specifically. The regs will probably still allow the cage to comply. Saying that though they do specify that some category's require weld in cages not bolt in. MsR
the cages you are refering to is that weld-in only cages or bolt in's also apply? do they have different rules for the bolt ins?
