Hi guys,

I took some quick photos today, so I thought I'd post them up here.

I know the car is filthy, but I was in a rush. General all black theme happening, might spray the rims black too.

Maserati style vents on the side, which I think look nice.

HKS Supercharger. Car sounds amazingly awesome. Just screams from the get go (even at low speeds).

Car came like that from Japan.

It is intercooled and also has an oil cooler I think, no overheating issues what so ever.

Yep running F-Con.

Have not dynoed it yet, will do that soon then post results here.

is it street registered?

Yeah just came back from compliance/registration last week.

Had to 'return the car back to stock' for compliance ;).

nice  . although the mazzer style front quarter panel vents do not appeal to me :P

Haha, they seem to be very polar, a love/hate thing.

Yo any news on the dyno? im looking at getting this kit for my V. do you know if they have changed any of the internals on the car so you can run higher psi or if its just stock and running around 5psi like the kit says you should?

  • 3 weeks later...

Sorry for late update.

Had some ECU/starting issues that are now sorted.

The iternals have been upgraded so I will be running 8psi in the future, the car will be tuned again in 2 weeks after all work is completed.

Last week, the car was tuned at 4psi and made 254rwkw on a conservative tune (Impul ECU with HKS F-Con piggyback).

Also have new rims:

It is actually a semi-automatic.

It has cooler, oil cooler, cooling plates for transmission, bigger brakes etc.

Fuel pump ?

I dont mind the guards, i think would like awesome with tinded windows, different and blackedout grill also black lower grills and slightly tint the headlights bit darker.

Nice either way.

So its basicly just the stock HKS kit with some cooling and braking performance added, do you know if it has the HKS headders and cats also?

As for the lights i think these would look mint im going to get a set for my V

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
