its just had the front damage (to me it just seems to be panels)

airbags also deployed(regarding changing the airbags is it just swaping the airbag in the cabin or u have to change the whole srs system with sensors?)

i know panel beaters that are cheap or i should say cheaper, but u wont get a fantastic result.

also how much is it worth to buy? and if anyone has a r34 that'spost-72334-0-09867800-1310660329_thumb.jpg wrecking please step forward.

pics are attached

any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you are insured and they have made it a right off, get a new one! but take all the parts off it that you want to keep even sell off some, if not find out how much it would cost to get back on the road the make your own call

I'd be skeptical of it just being 'panel' damage.

I've seen first hand hits with less damage that have done some major bending of rails and all sorts once you get it apart and have a good look/decent fix. I mean anything can be fixed 'on the cheap', but you'll have to compromise somewhere.

Also as the airbags went off i believe there might be more involved?

Troy or someone else will know more on the topic.

What are the A, and B pillars like? Also the roof.

Any kinks = no deal.

Guards

Bonnet

Entire Rad and Light support (this is spot welded in)

Head Lights (?)

Front bar

Intercooler

Radiator

Airbag sensors

Entire Dash (i think this is the only way to replace the bag on the passenger side?)

Radiator fan (?)

That is what you can see.

You will want to check out the front sub frame to make sure it hasnt moved / engine mounts are still in one piece.

If the panels further back are ok and the engine mounts and subframe is ok, $5k???

It's a 1998 and requires ViV.

it's for sale thinking of buying it and slowly fixing it my self, from my understanding aribags won't cost me more than 300-400 replace second hand and then it's mainly panel damage. I haven't looked at the car yet.

I'm not going to touch it if it has any rail roof or pillar damage.

Should I avoid this u guys think? Toomuch stuffing around?

Haha for a viv you need receipts of all the parts used to repair the vehicle, airbag system reset by the manufacturer along with costly inspections to make sure none of the structural parts have been stressed or welded.

I Pranged my 34 was a lot less damage than this airbags didn't go off is 11k in repairs.

I wouldn't bother with this one mate the amount of work you'd have to put into it wouldn't be worth it. The whole front is caved airbags will cost 2k atleast.

Sell what you can and scrap the rest cars done.

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
