What is the quietest off the shelf exhaust for an r32 gtst? I think there was a Trust item that stated it was under 95db but not sure for what car though.

Just looking for a bit more power with a nice subtle note but trying to stay legal.

Cheers for any info.

I had a GReddy power extreme II on my r32 gtst JASMA approved

It was really quiet but that was with the in built silencer in the tip which reduced the outlet to 2.5 inches

As soon as the silencer was taken out (which took 2 chisels a hammer and vice grips) it was quite loud.

In 3" ?

There are plenty of exhausts in 3" that are well under 90db @ 4500rpm which is roughly the RB20 test mark.

Anything Fujitsubo with two mufflers generally are all OK and quiet in 3"

Yeah, after a 3" full or cat back. What is the legal limit in NSW anyway? Was it 86db or something like that?

Wish i could try before i buy, lol.

That Nismo one looks good but not worth traveling interstate for, lol.

I just put on the 3 1/2 inch fujitsu cat back system, its very quiet and sounds alot more refined compared to a loud exhaust.. i doubt there'd be any legal issues with noise

I have on my 34 a JJR Solid Dump, high flow cat and a 3" Fujitsubo (JASMA) exhaust. It's very quiet when you're putting around town. But when you give it a bootfull it really has a nice note to it. Beats shifting to angel gear when passing police...

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
