So, me and "da boiz" are going to go, go karting some weekend soon.

In Sydney only ever been to Eastern Creek karts way back when i was like 10, so i was driving the slowest ones there. Since then, been to the one at phillip island 2 years ago and that was awsome. so if you can compare any of the sydney tracks to this, then please do so.

Point to the thread - Are there any better go kart places in Sydney than Eastern Creek ??????(in terms of value, track awsomness and speed of karts)

Fastlane Karting in Minto is pretty good value and a fun track. Hard to master the track aswell and the karts are a bit shit but good enough to get sideways.

They also do events on certains days that are good value...always wanted to go but work or uni gets in the way.

Also compared to Eastern Creek, i think i was in the 2nd fastest karts at eastern when i went, Fastlane shits all over eastern creek in terms of price and karts but maybe not track.

Minto has brand-new karts 2-3montha old which has made thier nice little track much more fun

eastern creek has the biggest track and plenty of room for building up speed and passing

Picton has a great track and good karts which is great fun to try and master there's a great hairpin right at the start of the track that could see you do well or not then 2nd last corner could see you bog or kick arse as it's all up hill from there.

And if you like the sensation of sliding woodville indoor karts is some insane sliding fun. You don't lose speed and you can bum steer amd literally take corners at 90 degrees.

Picton is my pic of the bunch.

Have to check out windsor.

Windsor is very technical with plenty of opportunity to crisscross

What?

Oh right... Eastern Creek is lots of fun nice open track but expensive.

Kartattak near the airport is a bit small and indoors, but still alright for a bit of a bash.

Next one to try for me will be Butterfly Farm in Windsor which, judging by youtube clips, looks like a good track

Picton look the best overall, in terms of price karts and track

got 2 questions

question about picton, Who much HP are the karts, it says 211cc 4 Stroke but id like to know HP if anyone knows

question about Eastern Creek, Which track do they use the most???

heres a link to all the configurations at EC - http://www.easterncreekkarts.com.au/hire-circuit-map.php

Minto and Windsor only use 6hp karts, so thats why i probs wont go there.

Picton is no good if you're a fellow that is on the heavier side... The main straight is uphill.

And don't know about HP, they all seem to vary from each other so greatly (All hire Karts do) that there is no point asking!

Haha that is very true. Even racing karts, between rebuilds of engines many many tenths can be lost.

so true, found it very hard to master that hairpin, did a best of 42:38. Great track and good karts

im a light guy and on the corner right before the straight, as long as i got on the inside lane with some good speed i would fly past the heavier guys up the straight, like a baws.

You will do that even without taking the last corner that quick...

I'm a heavier guy and I think I was running 42.2 around there last time I went (About 8 weeks back now)

It's a good fun track, but you need a proper kart to have some real fun on it.

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
