I tried it but it didn't really do anything as the lean popping is mainly when holding about 2k+rpm on idle. Will it count if I get someone in the car to hold rpm while I fill it? Pics on my phone of the pipe on the car, will upload tonight when I finish work, can't upload pictures from the phone.

In regards to my fuel setup though everything is brand new except lines and regulator. Nismo injectors, Bosch pump, ryco filter..

I think its because of your pringles designed intake pipe you're popping, as we all know with pringles, 'once u pop, u cant stop'! On a lighter note, i know how frustrating ur problem is, hope u find a solution soon, sounds like an air related issue, did u get jez to look it up in the wknd?

The point he is getting at is the fuel being cold, as long as you don't leave it idling for 10 hours after filling it it will answer his question.

grab a datalogit, and send me your ecu file in a PM.

Cheers

Shall send you a pm shortly. Just got home and it decided to lean pop on idle now and constantly too. I might have to give that test another go. But its strange, on hotter days I've given the car harder times and idle is fine...

where are the pictures of the intake pipe and how it is mounted int he car? why should i bother trying to help you when you can't even bother to upload simple pictures?

I tried PMing them again. Realized they are close to 2MB each. Got my computer now so lets do it from here! Pictures are pretty rough, I'll be pulling it all apart tomorrow for better pics of the pipe out of the car.

Also just fitted a new fuel filter, just incase.

Can't edit the above post anymore but here are pictures of the intake pipe OFF the car. You can see the outside and the inside of the pipe. My new design pipe has another bend just at the turbo with a 2 - 3" leg which will be the mounting point for my return and breather lines. It will have 2 maybe 3 bends in it.

The black shit is that silka sikka or what ever its called, that black glue shit. We put it over the weld bead just incase there was an air pocket somewhere. You can also see that the intake pipe is not exactly 3" on the bend. We sliced out a moon piece then bent the pipe shit and welded it up.

Hey sarge. Those welds are hectic. Ill subby all my fab work to you from now on. Make sure u save those pringles cans for me lol.

Anthony has a good point. The afm element position is fairly important.

The afm element orientation isn't an issue if the AFM is standard.

    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
