it looks good mate :)

ive been thinking of getting a bonnet like that for my 34 with a new front bumper ... mine are both all stone chipped and kinda need a new front bumper anyway its sagging something special

i like the one without the line in the middle though if you get what i mean..

more of the East Bear one

Yeh does look good mate, well done with the mods :)

One thing to note with vented bonnets, there is a lot of science to it. What can happen with cheap bonnets or ones that aren't properly engineered is they create a low pressure zone across the top of the engine bay, which means the air will be sucked up over the intercooler and radiator instead of through it, causing cooling issues.

Also another thing, you won't get away with the "it's stock officer" line. The bonnet is a structural part of the car, modifying it as you have done modifies the structural integrity of the whole car. Meaning it is definitely sticker worthy.

Just a heads up.

Correct!

This is why the Nismo R-Tune bonnet has a Z-Tune tube which links the bonnet with the airbox.

I didn't know this, mmmmmmm

Would I be correct in assuming that haveing a full width radiator air guide in place would offset the negative air charge?

As in forcing the air down through the IC and rad the the bonnet will "vent" the heat as one would assume it's designed for??

In God_speed's Nur Dave, he has

* R Tune bonnet (genuine) but with Z-tune tube out.

* ARC airbox (which won't accept the Z-tune tube)

* Full length air guide

> temperatures at speed are at least 4 degrees less than usual despite the ARC box being notorious for trapping heat

Wow... If that's a stock bonnet underneath and you just fibreglassed it over the top, that looks pretty impressive.

Yes my friend it is the stock one . LONG time to do it right tho

Looks cool, a little too "Big" for me, but still cool. Also, This ^. Definitely yellow worthy.

Does the opening make rain drain into the engine bay?

Nice work!

    • Jax Tyres Smithfeild Ive gone there a few time, well for tyres. on my 3rd visit I spoke to the dude and told how i just got slugged for rotors, brakes ect. His reply was golden; have you read whats on the front of the building. Never forgot it.       before picture, good friend got all these goodies installed.  Well time to study, servicing, maintenance all before this weekend driving lesson.
    • Hello, first of, I’ve looked at many threads on this code but none have helped me, if you know one that will help me feel free to post a link.   Now to my problem. Recently I was driving and noticed the check engine light came on. I went home and did the test to see what code it gave. I got the 21 code but everything seems fine with the car, no misfire, idle is good, acceleration is the same as when I bought it. I mean no signs of obvious failure. If no misfire is happening I can rule out the coil packs right? Which is about 98% of posts saying it is. If anyone has had this happen and found the issues let me know please. No other lights are on.   The car WAS due for an oil change. I since then changed it so idk if that triggers code 21. Either way it hasn’t turned off.
    • Your both right, it may hold a bit longer then.  Soon I need to change the synchros, should I fit the billet plate while I'm at it? Or just a waste of money?
    • Some of the east coast US Stagea got together this past weekend at Lime Rock Park in CT for Grid Life Circuit Legends. This is probably my favorite pic of the shoot with @Morgan.Mundahl on IG. Hope we get more stags out next year! i think I spotted 5 other than my own at the event.
