My knowledge of Trust turbo sizing isn't great but I think you'll find the 25g to be a better match to the GT3076. It will come down what power your after, the 20g will run out of puff well before the 25g but it will be more responsive.

The 25g is fairly responsive anyway, my brother is using a kando dynamics TD06-25g on a 1JZ (2.5l) and it comes on boost about 3000-3500rpm.

Something else to think about, I don't know if the TD series turbos come with a T3 style exhaust mount option. The few I have seen have all had a 3 bolt "triangle" flange which would means you will need an after market exhaust manifold. The GT30 has a T3 flange and will bolt onto the stock manifold.

As for the comparison between the two I can't comment, finding GT30 results is easy on this forum, not too many people using TD series turbos anymore.

I bought a GT3076 from Bill at ATS - he made it up for me from a genuine ball bearing garret GT3076r core, an AVO .73ar rear housing that is internal gate and bolts up in stock position to the 6bolt dump pipe, and he ported out the front stock nissan compressor housing to the 'max'. With the auto had it up to 250rwkw at 1bar with S15 silvia 450cc injectors - definately more in it. Id recommend Bills GT3076r "stock" looking turbo over the GCG unit, which he can also supply.

Adelaide Turbo Services are a great business & Bill Keen is a champion bloke.

triangle 3 bolt type? isnt that a "K" style manifold? the ones used on VW and Audis??? anything built for K manifolds is supposed to handle crazy boost. most the KKK hybrid turbos using specific garrett cores run the 40psi+

Tdo6sl2 20G 10CM with external gate ! ;-) Also just as a point both hyper gear and gcg use original comp covers so also give that "stock" look and direct bolt up not just ats but def agree on .73 rear avo housing

>_< looks like the 10cm is the go lol

What to do about the TD06H 20g or TDO6sl2 20g hahaha

Still hear good thinks about GCG 3076  brain melting hahaha

So is he selling the Kinguwa TD06 sl2 8cm internal gate and just checking them to make sure they are all good, or is he machining them into a 0P6 housing

or something?

Where did u find internal gate Kinugawa $760? Have u got a rear shot ..old style wastegate?

All the newer tso6h /tdo6 sl 20g with newer gate are like 1050 landed that I have seen..

Seen the cheaper ones with older gate for round that kinda coin..

I'd see if you could buy the core like this( but with a 3 inch comp cover however none are for sale atm, have been before)

http://www.ebay.com....=item3f0e3414e0

and then get bill to machine it into a AVO .73 exhaust housing

cheers

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
