I have a close to standard R33 gts-t and would like to reach a goal of 250rwkw.

I have been told a GT2535/2540 is suitable for this kind of power. Does anyone have any other suggestions on which turbo i could use, possibly something cheaper as I heard they sell for $4000 which im not sure is true. Its a daily driver so I would like good mid range response.

What will I have to upgrade to run this kind of power safely?

Fuel Pump

Injectors

Tougher Synchros

Oil Cooler

And just remember I am not keen on spending millions of dollars. I just want something that will remain low-mount and make my car a quick street car.

I was also told hi-flowing the standard turbo would only be good for 210rwkw. Is that true?

HKS gtr-s would be the go with 550cc injectors and bosch motorsport pump mounted in the factory in tank position a gtr intercooler would be nice to see also if you had the dollars.Oil cooler only needed for track racing or drifting so save money and spend it elsewhere. you would also need aftermarket comp management i think microtech make a plugin system thats good value for money Stace Racer :flower:

hi dude, 250rwkw is no mean feat and should be fairly straight forward.

you will need the fuel pump, a front mount, a clutch, and an programmable ECU. And of course a good free flowing exhaust and filter.

You wont NEED the injectors and as you arent keen on spending heaps, just get a rising rate reg. Your gearbox will cope with the power fine.

A 2535 may hit 250rwkw, the 2540 should definitly hit 250rwkw. But new they cost a bit, so you could always go second hand for ~2grand. Problem may be that the 2535 is a bit hard to find 2nd hand, and the 2540 people dont seem to like!

I went to UAS the other week and looked at a band new Garret 3040 internal gate low mount that will bolt straight up, giving you the stock appearance you want. John at UAS will guarantee you will see 250rwkw, i think at around 1.2-1.3BAR, which you can run safely with the standard compression if the tune is good. UAS also insisted that this turbo was not laggy at all and gave excellent response.

If your sure that 250rwkw is all you want, then thats the road i would take.

Your best bet is ring UAS, they told me theyve sold, installed, and tuned many of these recently on R33's. Tried and tested, easiest way to go!

So would i just need one of those Bosch 044 Pumps? Would a Power Fc be fine for this type of power output or should I go for a microtech?

I would definitely be getting a FMIC and full turbo-back 3" exhaust. I heard about a special High-flowing job that GCG or was is CGC, do for the standard turbo to help it reach or get very close to my goal. Would that be a good option?

I'm on the road to 250rwkw myself and this is what i'm doing...

Currently:

* Std ECU

* Std Turbo

* Std Injectors

* Ex Cam Gear

* 3" Turbo Back Exhaust

* Dualstage Boost Controller

* K&N Panel Filter

* FMIC

* Clutch

* Bosch 040 Fuel Pump

= 186rwkw (rich)

Future:

* Power FC + H/C + Boost Kit ($1900)

* GCG 500hp Hiflow Turbo ($1900)

* Fuel Pressure Regulator ($160)

= 240-250rwkw (leaned out and with a bit of luck)

By the time I get there i'll need a better clutch and also some wider rims so it never ends. Now I just gotta find about $5k :D

What do you know, I'm on the road to 250rwkw (maybe even a bit more)

I've got FMIC 600x300x100,Decatted exhaust + pod with CAI.

This is what I'm going to do:

T3/t4 hybrid turbo, int. gated rated 500hp bolt on

Haltech E6X full management

Bosch pump 044 if 910 doesn't do the job(i've already gotten the 910)

550 injectors

Fuel pressure reg.

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
