Lol , it was only 6 months ago i was on a shit wage of $25 p/h, i know wat it's like to be just getting by, i recently did a trip up north and paid $2.20 a litre for diesel @ banyo crossing, ppl in cairns have been paying $1.85 per litre for ages. The one thing that upsets me more than fuel prices is tax! I pay more tax in a week than wat most ppl earn. F@#k the government

And what do they do with alot of it?

Pay dole bludgers and refugees

My sisters in law are over 21 and have worked about 6months of their life between them

They have been on centerline for 3 years they turn down every job they go for so they don't have to work, their parents have acctually told centerline this and they still pay them

What the f**k kind of bullshit is that???? That's our taxes going to these hobos and all they do is spend it on Maccas and weed f**k this country's government!!!

Jeez you guys must have a heavy foot or something to only get 200 to 300 km on a tank my none turbo r34 four door I was able to get 500km on a single tank now I get around 400km on my r34gtt.

Yeah, I get about 500km-550km to a tank but I travel 400km a week to TAFE each week + I am left with a 1/4 of a tank to last me to and from work until the following week. Kinda helps to drive like a grandma when you're a student working permanent part time, haha.

and if you ever lose your job and have to go on unemployment will you still be pissed off at the goverment? or what about if you are driving on a highway, which was paid for by tax money? or if you send your kids to a public school, which surprise, surprise, is also paid for with tax money. we could always scrap the tax system so we don't have to pay any tax, but this would just mean that it would become a user pays system. no medicare, all roads would be toll roads, all schools would be private schools, no public hospitals, etc.

Dude, save your strength. You can't change ignorant dimwits with attitudes like that.

Look I'm not saying all the people on cetrelink are bludgers, if me and my wife ever happen to have a baby she'll have to go on assistance for the first year, cause we won't be able to survive on 1 income,

when I lost my job 3 years ago I knew I needed to have some money coming in straight away so I went to centerlink all the things they needed me to do in order to get assistance it was acctually easier to go out and het a shit job, so that's what I did, and I worked my way back up to a half decent paying job

But I will garauntee that atleast 30% of people on unemployment could work they just don't want to,

As for my tax money going to other things, I'm sure tax could be lower,

And prices on public service put up to pay for the people that use them, ie put the prices for trains up so my tax isnt paying for railways I don't use

They already charge us a shit load for car rego and things relating to cars eg transfer of rego, licenses, so that money should directly go to paying for roads

Lastly our tax goes to paying politians, they make way too much and there are too many of them, there should be no state parliament only federal government and local council, and they should get paid alot less

How am I ignorant I know what tax goes to I'm not saying we shouldn't pay any tax,

And my comment was from a personal experience I haven't just watched today tonight and thought they made a good point

ok a few things,

firstly, i know that a lot of people on the dole are bludgers. dude, i'm from gympie. it's full of them.

as for rego prices, etc, we have it pretty good. a lot of europe pays much more than us. hell, just the fuel excise the british government takes is twice what the australian government does.

as for pay of politicians, i actually think it's too low. they are running the fucking country!!! there are business owners making much, much more than what the prime minister is. the owner of your local mcdonalds is probably earning close to, or even more than, what the PM is. if you cut the wages of politicians then a lot of them won't bother to run, because they could easily earn more money in other jobs, so you will get a heap of useless (well more useless) morons in there running the country and it would turn to shit pretty quickly.

Europe pays more for rego? Shit I would never had know that, but what about our luxury car tax just thrown on every vehicle above a certain amount, and the 3% stampduty on EVERY car sold just because,

I know big business owns make more than the p.m but there's a reason for that . They have worked their way up to CEO or created a company from scratch they normally worked for it, PM's fall into the role after gathering enough support from their mates in the party, I wish I could run the company by getting enough support from the people I work with,

You've gotta one of the biggest idiots I've had the displeasure of reading posts from recently.

Unless you have a CLUE what you are talking about (which you do not) how about you just shut up and stop making an idiot of yourself?

No worries, obviously you don't accept that people have different opinions to yourself,

I could sit here argue with you but if your gonna call me an idiot and a dumbass instead of making a decent argument then I'm not even gonna bother

there's a difference between having an opinion and not knowing what you are talking about. you fall into the latter. do you think australia is the only country to charge a stamp duty on all cars sold? it might not be called stamp duty in other countries, but they will have some form of tax.

I'm not talking about other countries, I'm sure there are other places that have it slot worse than us in regards to taxes and such

Like for instance back on topic new Zealand pay nearly 60c a litre more for bp ulitimate,

But just cause there may be places worse off doesn't make what our governments doing correct

i must not be the only person whos thinks that a " pay for what u use" system would be great..... im sick of paying for other ppls shit... not my problem, never will be.. im currently unemployed / part time and i sure as hell are not going on centrelink... ppl shouldent pay for me, i wouldent pay for them...

A-f**king-men

Im all for paying tax, Im all for the dole / centre link.

It when you see how its wasted that it annoys me.

get rid of the states , there is so many lvls of government and we pay for them.

I agree

Local council and federal government is all we need

And it would cost us less as tax payers to more strong police the welfare syst than just hand out money to every lazy f**ker

Why isn't there a time limit on unemployment if you can find a job even a part time one after 3 months then your either not trying hard enough/don't want to work/ or too proud to work at Maccas or woolworths

    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
    • OK, so a bunch of trim needs to come off to get to the rear shock top mounts. Once the seat is out of the way, the plastic trim needs to come off. Remove 2 clips at the top then slide the trim towards the centre of the car to clear the lower clip Next you need to be able to lift the parcel shelf, which means you need to remove the mid dark trim around the door, and then the upper light trim above the parcel shelf. The mid trim has a clip in the middle to remove first, then lift the lowest trim off the top of the mid trim (unclips). At the top there is a hidden clip on the inner side to release first by pulling inwards, then the main clip releases by pulling the top towards the front of the car. The door seal comes off with the trim, just put them aside. The the lighter upper trim, this is easy to break to top clips so take it carefully. There is a hidden clip towards the bottom and another in the middle to release first by pulling inwards. Once they are out, there are 3 clips along the rear windscreen side of the panel that are hard to get under. This is what the rear of the panel looks like to assist:
