Very enjoyable, ran anticlockwise figure 8 (as per Australian Championship held the other week), with so few entries, plenty of oportunity to work on improving times doing different things.

Only bummer, they closed up shop a bit early (around 4:30) and forgot a hat, so even with factor 30, got a bit of sun burn!

Awesome day. I ended up with a 67.1 but i had to leave early as hayfever knocked the stuffing outta me, just woke up after 16hrs of sleep

Pity i probably missed anoher 2-3 runs. Would have been good to knock even more time off. Each run nearly killed about .8 of a second so definitely good room to improve. Running the track reverse Fig 8 was VERY interesting, quite different to the other way.

I hear Madden got a 66.x

Must have been the speed-hat LOL :merli:

great to met some more of the SAU crew, and overall a very enjoyable day. (apart from the sunburn)

look forward to seeing some of the incar vids when they get posted?

found a great vid that shows the reverse figure 8 layout

RACE SOLUTIONS how much did they get paid to do what? good day beside nothing running on time, what is the point in having supp regs with a time line that was no where near it. All so where was the practice session not the stupid bloddy three lap sighting crock of shit. Also the last minute change of what track was going to be run.

Wasn't happy with the change of track layout, really wanted to see If I could improve on my times from earlier in the year.

Other than my car being slow, I enjoyed the day

I didn't read the Supp Regs haha, but ye would have preferred the "usual" way to gauge the mods I've done in the car in terms of time etc. The Reverse Fig 8 was still fun overall though.

Agree on the Race Solutions point. Two events I've been to recently where there has been a lot of time wasted on their behalf whilst they just sit in the 4WDs, especially when people come off. There is 1-2mins before anything happens... If i had some off and was in trouble, 1min is a long time. So certainly room for improvement there & hopefully someone is giving them feedback to improve what they are delivering.

Still had fun overall though which is what matters

Wish i could've stayed till the end but if gates did indeed close early (Someone said they did?) then probably wouldn't have missed as much as i thought.

yes there are pics, Katie took a bunch on the day slowly uploading atm.

re times when WRX have their we will link ot it, however final times on the club championship won;t be done till after the preso night..(just to keep a few ppl in suspense..

and I'll send them over.

Sunburn was sure the word of the day.

The track layout is far more enjoyable than the normal layout. Though I can see that for gauging difference in skill and car from the previous event is a pita.

I've got some great video, the pictures Katie has taken are awesome.

Is that Her Majesty the Queen driving JP's Green S14 there?

:whistling: Yes I had a laugh when I saw that. Timing Katie. Least I didn't get called a queen!

How'd PI go Sunday, spotted the 1:51s, wouldn't have minded being there myself, instead of mowing the lawn at 5kph.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
