Good stuff on edge, you can do it

Yeah I guess they are Yo-Yo I had the same thing happen, I was like wtf!

judging by your post count & join date you may be unfamiliar with the back story around why?

You would be correct, care to fill me in?

not worth mentioning really, just a particular member who frequents the wasteland section starting threads about particular countries & smartarse admins/moderators whoever has the ability to filter certain words.

The first week will suck the most, if you can get that there's no reason you can't give up for good

The first week? That's actually not a bad philosophy for a person who has been hospitalized for over a week > goes home and thinks, "Sh!t I've done it for this long: I might as well throw the loose ones away whilst I'm at it"

Being read the 'riot act' in hospital helps too.

Still get patients who have to quit because their surgeons won't operate unless they've already quit.

My hubby an i cold the sphincter of the universe quit 5 weeks ago,iv'e tried many many times to give up.Been a smoker for 40 plus years, the thing that made it so easy this time was my feet turning purple. Those ads on the packets are true,3 days after i stopped my feet and toes back to the normal pink colour. If i can do it any one can.I wish all you peeps the best in giveing up the evil weed. :D

Lmoa :) I guess it fun to be a admin and have the power to do that

I am in the process of it. I quit cold bird years ago for 3 years.

This time I'll do the same but I have changed to rollies instead of tailors because you smoke a lot less; you never try and smoke while your driving etc.

This week I'll stop. Famous last words I guess lol.

Yes, as stated in Post #14, the filters contain ammonia to make the nicotine more addictive.

Tobacco companies are scum.

A patient that was booked in tomorrow to quit smoking, has just rung up and cancelled. Apparently he didn't realise that it was Melbourne Cup day.

At least some people know what their priorities are (- not).

mini-rant hehe...

Lol thats unbelievable

Well its 1 week since i quit!!!!! The worst is over!!! To be honest it was not bad at all!!! :D

So who's gonna take up the challenge next?

Well done son, keep it up!

Take it from someone who's been there, persevere & you'll get to a stage where you'll wonder why you ever took it up in the first place.

I can now hang around a group of smokers & not get the slightest urge to light up even when offered, but it didn't happen overnight

One day i realised i spent more than half my life - 21 out of 36 years smoking

I never tried to give up until i got scarring in he lungs , so i decided to give up and found a common thing with smokers

Smoking gives the emotional swing from high to low , if you do give up unfortunately you remain feeling down for at least a year , but you health will improve , i think this is what makes smoking so hard to give up .

The novelty was to start doing everything in life without smoking , driving a car to work , go on holidays , not having a smoke for breakfast , play sport , drink beer and of course not buying any cigarettes ?

What feels great is breaking all the habits, not just one habit !!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps biggrin.gif

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
