So, seeing as I can't afford to head down to Victoria for the SAU-Nats, I'll be heading to this instead. Perfect for me because it's nice and close to home, and the JDMST meets are usually pretty damned good, with minimal idiotic behaviour and a nice variety of cars and styles.

More details:

Location: Terminus Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2147

Enter the multi level car-park and you should be able to cut through to the back, where it's an outdoor car-park good for a few Hundred cars!

Photo of the Carpark for reference.

Time: 30th October, 2pm onwards.

The meet is held early instead of during the evening because Twilight drifts being on at the same night. So we try to cater for people wanting to go to both events.

If the weather is good we'll throw on a BBQ/ drinks and maybe have a Huffy slider / Drift Rc track set up!

Rules:

No Engine revving

No Burnouts/ Peg leggers

No Loud Music

Noobs Welcome!

Please be on your best behaviour as you are representing JDMST and the modified car scene.

Who else is coming along?

lol!!! and i will being going out with the family, might wanna try and urge them to go outback steakhouse now! lol

Last time I was at the outback steakhouse parts of their neon sign were broken & the sign read "Outback Steakho" would be a great name for a brothel.

mmmm I loved the cheese fries at the outback

went to check it out... was a good turn out

such a great turn in fact that there were no parking spots left

did 2 laps trying to find parking then gave up n went home hehe

location could be better... having a meet with one entry n one exit and such narrow roads could cause problems

Might see you there nick

Did you end up coming, Ian? I didn't see you there, but there were so many cars and people it was hard to spot friends.

I saw you driving through, Umair, but didn't realise it was you until I saw your post on JDMST.

The original venue would have been bigger, but even though J_Hui got the go-ahead from the Police LAC and the council, Cityrail said no, and it's Cityrail land... :( I drove through that carpark late last night, and there was only ONE solitary car in there, so I'm guessing even if there were a few people catching the train today, there still would have been plenty of room. Oh well, what can you do? :(

Crazy turnout. We went to the seven hills carpark before realising it had been moved, so off we went to behind the outback steakhouse, nope no one there either, oh right its on the otherside of the highway, finally rocked up to te right place, and lucky me there was a carpark spot right next to the garden on the roadway. Lucky there was no parking cops.

Nick sorry i didnt hang around long, needed food and water. What time did u leave?

Yep, the Seven Hills carpark is a fair bit bigger, shame they wouldn't approve it's use. :(

All good, Jez, I left around 5 I think, and I ended up copping a headache due to dehydration. Didn't think it would be that warm, and didn't think to bring some water to drink.

    • So..... it's going to be a heater hose or other coolant hose at the rear of the head/plenum. Or it's going to be one of the welch plugs on the back of the motor, which is a motor out thing to fix.
    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
